Small typo: It’s “USB 3.2 Gen2x2 SuperSpeed USB 20Gbps Type-C Interface,” not USB 3.2 Gen2x2 SuperSpeed USB 20GBps Type-C Interface” for the on-screen text. We won’t blame the editors for the USB-IF naming mishap, though.

  2. I’ve played Cyberpunk 2077 for almost 80 hours.

In my first play through, I stuck to the story and played through it in about 20 hours.

On my second playthrough, I focused on getting Legendary items and playing side missions.

    THE GAME IS AMAZING.

As long as you have a beast of a computer, it’s the best looking game there is.

    I have a 3090, 32GB DDR4 and SSD.

Cyberpunk 2077 shows you exactly why PC is better than PS5 and XBOX.

Neither system even meets the power of a 2080Ti.

    The 3070, 3080, 3090 and 3080Ti completely obsolete the PS5 and Xbox Series X.

I personally am not interested in the 3050 at all.

I think you should not buy anything less than the 3080. You need as much VRAM as you can get if you plan on ever running 4K.

  3. Don't care how many free games they give away. Will never put EGS onto my pc. Though things like gog have started to let you "connect" to it and other games like Warframe has just been put onto the store. People really need to look to see if Epic is doing fishy stuff in the background of those apps.

  4. I’d argue that CYBERPUNK 2077 HAS BEEN A COMPLETE SUCCESS.

It has singlehandedly MARGINALIZED CONSOLE PEASANTS and forced a QUARANTINED society to take a serious look at the gaming PC environment as their main entertainment.

Cyberpunk 2077 is the CRYSIS moment we’ve been waiting for.

The disparity between PC and console couldn’t possibly be more clear!

For too long the gaming industry has watered down games to pander to the console audience. Now you have a game that is so reliant on expensive hardware that it can’t even run properly without it.

    TO HELL WITH CONSOLE PEASANTRY.

  5. The CDPR lawsuit is just ridiculous, it's a waste of everyone's time and money (aside from those lawyers getting paid to sue them in the first place, of course), and they should just take the profits from those 13 million copies sold and make the game better.

  6. Cyberpunk: Delay Games
Players: Sends death threats and hissy fits
    Cyberpunk: Release game (not ready)
Players: How dare they release this! It’s unplayable!

People never happy… it’s an Awesome Game

  7. I dont get, why in the US everyone needs to Sue everyone all the time… If an inverstor loses money from the investment then is wasnt that good of an investment. Isnt that how that bussines works? US is the only country that does things that way, as an europian this looks just like nonsense.

  8. These hedge funds are quite moronic. Where do they think there is capacity elsewhere? Maybe insisting Intel spend more dough and build more fabs. How about them buying into TSMC or Samsung fab technology.

  9. I don't know why people complain so hard about cyberpunk 2077 (through maybe console version are really bad idk). But I played it on Linux and the games is pretty entertaining and over all the bugs it still has aren't anything that is really game breaking. Sure some of them (like getting teleported by a window) might be slightly annoying but really over all the game is very playable and I only had like 2 Bugs (one was kinda finding a hole in the map in the middle between 2 buildings and being dumb and jumping in) in like 20h of playing. So yeah maybe at release it was bad to play but at least since 1.05 it is very good do play on PC (I don't imagine it will be worse on Windows then it is on linux).
It is kinda depressing that my RX 580 8GB only does like 40-50fps and drops down to <10fps when looking far away in the city. But I mean if you take a look at the quality of the models and textures and such I can see why that happens. Through I would have preferred they would have added LQ ones, since I don't really care that much about how a game looks. But from what I see on Xbox complaints some people get mad about that too.
And I can understand people being mad about it, since it was hyped so much.
But overall I like the game a lot actually, and I can't say that about man games in recent years….
and it is definitely not in a super bad shape.

  10. So Intel should split off its fab, so the fab can service third parties, so intel design will have to outsource production to which "…America’s access to leading-edge semiconductor supply will erode, forcing the U.S. to rely more heavily on a geopolitically unstable East Asia…" Kind of a self-fulfilling prophecy?

  11. Intel's problem was and is, too much of a focus on executive paydays by reaching short term share price goals, thereby unlocking bonuses which were more often than not due to share buy-back schemes and not technological innovation. Sadly, a common occurrence in the corporate world these days.

  12. I work at an american intel fab as a tech and wouldn’t be super opposed to becoming independent/manufacturing other chips from different companies. Getting some separation may actually be a good thing; the ATTD offices up the road have so many management horror stories and the running joke is that the ATTD test offices/design offices are a rat race nightmare with horrible work culture. The culture at the fabs is a lot more cohesive and I feel could definitely rally around a new goal. I know it’s biased but I honestly feel manufacturing would definitely outshine design if they accepted outside clients

  13. I hope that supposed 3050 would be affordable enough for people to experience even some of that ray tracing stuff, honestly i don't think it's impressive enough to be in a lot of games because there's other ways to make a game look good

  14. Linus Sebastian has the right take on the Intel-fab story. It's not up to some hedge-fund manager to tell Intel their business. Linus went through this guy's letter in detail, where the intent was clearly to try to strongarm Intel into submitting to demands, not friendly advice. I'd reject that on general principles alone. Plus what good would it do the country for Intel to eliminate its fabs? We need more of them, not less. And it's good to have at least some outside the control of China and South Korea.

  15. "The other hotfix [for Epic Games launcher] is to close the application when you're not using it." My favorite kind of fix for all software; or suspend the process when that's not feasible.

  16. Outside of political concerns there are real reasons to spread out chip manufacturing away from Eastern Asia. Storms, wars, other natural disasters and so on are the many reasons. Having the majority of the worlds chip manufacturing in a very small geographic region is just bad business. There are other options for lower labor costs than China and other nations in that region. Central and South America offer potential locations as does Africa.
