A fresh planet full of plentiful resources which can all be harvested for my own gain. I want to take all the available energy and somehow turn it into profit so we take things one step at a time. Harvesting basic resources and then researching advancements. From there we turn materials into more complex materials and repeat the process until the planet is dead.

you want chaos? then research the abillity to stack certain buildings ontop of each other.
this game has a lot more verticality then you think.
just imagine, smelters and assemblers three stories high, supplied by conveyer belts stacked over five over each other.

Okay, so, all the editing lately has been really great. The more subtle touch fits with DF's recording style, imo, as opposed to some of the super in your face stuff that was happening a while ago (a long while ago, mind, the latest stuff has been great).
