I Have a Serious PROBLEM With Cyberpunk 2077 "Reviews"

Read more about Cyberpunk 2077โžœ https://cyberpunk2077.mgn.tv

Cyberpunk 2077 has landed in a quagmire of controversy. After many years and many delays the console version (that the game was initially intended for) is so disastrous that the company is issuing no questions asked refunds.

The โ€œReviewsโ€ for this game were not only rushed, and suppressedโ€ฆ but this framework also opened the door for a lack of disciplineโ€ฆ and a lapse in thorough review process.

All in allโ€ฆ the games โ€œreviewโ€ process has been something I find myself increasingly at odds with.

  1. I have a problem with reviewers, streamers that jump into the new game bandwagon for views because none of them understand that Cyberpunk is an RPG. They believe for some reason its a Looter shooter, battleroyale against NPCs. When they hit the RPG wall, all of them pout and get bored expressing frustration. I changed some NVDIA settings in my 1080 gtx with FULL MAXED SETTINGS. And im getting 50 to 60 frames and sometimes a little bit less depending on how cluttered the screen is but is minor. But streamers cant figure out how to tweak their own 3080 cards to fix their own performance. Go figure. Ive played 70 hours of the game in MINIMAL STORY and I dont even care about it for now. These people do not care or understand rpgs. This is the best game Ive ever played in my 37 years of life. And been a gamer since a kid. Problems, sure. Game breaking problem, no. The problem is the people with platforms to talk about it that do not understand or truly enjoy this kind of game. I wish the game would even be harder.

  2. Maybe Cyberpunk 2077 will take the road of Kingdom Come Deliverance. (relatively) Shitty game at first but ultimately one of the best titles I've ever played. I can't speak for the console but on PC Cyberpunk 2077 is already a great game, and I trust that those minor issues will be squashed in the future.

  3. i am not sure who needed to hear this
but this is old new by now, not just in this game sense, but
as one guy said "Reviews have become a way to signal boost a game" for a loooong time now..
do you plan to make a video everytime someone does it?

  4. They also left out so much interactive things that make it an RPG. You can't customize your character other than clothes, can't customize your apartment, A.I. is retarded, In a future world, your self driving car can automatically drive to you but you cant just ride in your car to a destination without driving…like wtf. It's whatever I'm not even mad about that as I'm somewhat enjoying the game still. Now what pisses me off is the optimization, I have a pretty beefy pc and barely hitting above 60 fps on all low settings, even with the hot fixes and all the optimizations I tried..Thats the part thats ruining the fun for me, laggy and FPS is all over the place. Like come on…I don't really care about the glitches but let me get a smooth gameplay. With all the features, optimization and delays missing id really like to where theyve been putting all of their time in this game…?? Never pre ordering again and I'm done with the gaming industries b.s. This was the LAST straw.

  5. in my opinion. CDPR would of been far better off making this a PC exclusive, and will be far better off in the future doing so. Less initial sales yes but they would of released in a much better state, probably earlier, and would of recouped the sales overtime (considering the witcher 3 sold well for a long time). While maintaining their reputation. And let's be honest, we all know this is the last true console generation.

  6. I agree, maybe it was released early, but given my experience so far, I could care less. Glad to have it early, PC Master Race Ho!

Now we're getting bug fixes so what I'm enjoying will get better.
    Then we're getting free DLC.
Then paid DLC's which I'm sure it will become amazing by then.

Finally, I'm curious to see how the investors who are pulling out will feel when all this is in. I have a feeling they'll want back in by the end.

  7. To start off, I seriously got into gaming in the year 2007. I know it was an amazing year to get into games and 2 games shaped me into the gamer I am today and they were the 1st installment of Mass Effect and Witcher. They made me fall in love with games. So much so, that I make time to play games even today with full time law firm job and an amazing wife. With passing of time and not so great conclusion to the Mass Effect trilogy (There's no 4th game in the series), The Witcher Trilogy became my favorite games of all time.

So, When Cyberpunk was announced, it became my most anticipated game of all time. Therefore, when now the game has released in the state it has, I am displeased and disheartened by the response it has garnered from the independent media and the big wigs alike.

First of all, with respect to โ€œoptionalโ€ or โ€œself imposedโ€ crunch and token system, and this can only be understood by the people who have worked in a corporate environment, there is no such thing as โ€œoptionalโ€ crunch. If your teammates or colleagues are putting longer hours, then by default you have to match the hours or else you will see the effect on your next appraisal or evaluation meeting. The said thing is made worse by the token system. Because. You are entitled to tokens when you work long hours. Donโ€™t for a second think that you will do your 9 to 5 and still get the same token as the other colleague who slogged for 14 hours. So. The token incentivizes the crunch and makes you believe that you are choosing to work longer hours. However, I have not seen one reviewer actually tackle the issue in the similar manner as they ripped a new one to other AAA publishers and developers. I have definitely heard some discontent with the issue, but with the excuses like CDPR are a small team or they have never made a game this size and all the excuses are indefensible when there are human beings involved who have to work over 80 or 100 hours a week. Itโ€™s inhumane.

Secondly, there is a clear fraud on the part of CDPR. The game was announced for base PS4 and XBOX One and was supposed to release on the base consoles in April 2020. If the game was not ready, there would have been no fraud if they decided to release on PC and next Gen consoles only with a later release date for the base consoles. However, they knew the backlash that would entail and the biggest reason of all โ€œhow much money they would lose initiallyโ€ as they would not be able to sale to the biggest consumer base with base consoles. Here the fraud starts, by continuously stating that the game is going to be sold for base consoles and later stating that the game runs well on them. All this while not allowing anyone to play on the base console till the release date. So, anyone thinking that CDPR is acknowledging the bad performance and granting refunds out of goodness of their heart is sorely mistaken. They are doing it because, otherwise, they will open themselves to multiple consumer law suits.

After witnessing the above, I have lost faith in one of my favorite game developers. And itโ€™s not because the game is broken, itโ€™s because the perpetuation of crunch culture and a clear and intentional fraud on the consumer base. I am playing the game on a high end pc and it runs fine with occasional glitches, but I just canโ€™t bring myself to play the game after their behavior. Maybe after few months I will get back to it and may be it will be the best game I have ever played, but for now I will just leave it alone. Also, seeing the held back and sugar coated response of gaming media, independent or otherwise, they have made me apathetic to them as well.

I know itโ€™s a long rant, but I had to articulate my feeling somewhere.

  8. Been playing on the PC on a 4 year old setup and it runs fine above 60fps most of the times, I notice alot of small nuisance bugs but nothing game breaking that were patched after a day.
The only people whining are the console plebs and frankly this game should not have been released on consoles at all would be better as a pc exclusive.
Alot of resources got wasted making this game compatible with consoles.

  9. I'll be honest, I was looking forward to love this game so much. While it's still a pretty good game, role-playing elements are hugely lacking. After all these years, I kind of expected a RDR2 level of immersion from the game, but its more of an assassins creed level open-world where you don't reallly interact with the world except doing your missions. 10/10 on Art Direction because its beautifully crafted (on PC), but overall experience needs much much more love. The main problem is that, I am lucky to be playing this game with Ultra Settings with RTX on, but i'm guessing it's a totally different experience on a console.

  10. YongYea is a huge shill. 90% of his content is just marketing in disguise. He helps get the hype up for games and then when they come out and SUCK (Death Stranding, Cyberpunk) he plays down the problems. He had to put out a follow up video to his initial review just to save face because he knows he got caught shilling garbage.

  11. Like the hype for Red Dead 2 last year and many other games, this game is shit when it comes to optimization. Unless you have a f-16 engine in your computer, it lags on any settings. It will take probably a year to fully optimize the game so it can actually work on the specs they claim it will work.
p.s. i got a machine that should play it on high, can't get a decent frame on low atm. 1.04 game version also

  12. Was made for PC before anything, they wanted to release it on PC then when the first DLC came to be. Then put it out on console. But investors wanted to see it on the consoles…and well here were are with the devs forced to spin one too many plates

  13. They just should delay it again to spring 2021. Why they didn't do that? I want to believe major shareholders make them to release now, because christmas. Whatever, I enjoy the game but I play on PC so it's kinda different experience. They will fix and patch everything, release tonnes of free dlc and one or two great expansions but amount of trust they have lost is stagering.

  14. i don't give an F**k about your consoles, HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHHA. consoles = apple products: SCAMS. you're locked into 1 setting and you have to rebuy the next gen way faster than you would without shitty scammy products that break (intended like that) in max 3 years as such. HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAH suck on that lol. with those rebought consoles, you might as well build your own pc and run cyberpunk TODAY on max settings. b00m, losers. get scammed and i told you so!

  15. Pretty well said. I am somewhat enjoying the game myself but I am very disappointed at the same time. Combat is bad, damage is completely out of the park unbalanced, moving around is sometimes a chore, driving is godawful, the perks are stupid… but the story and side quests are quite fun.

  16. To be fair, they were probably referring to Xbox one X and PS4 Pro when they were talking about it "working surprisingly well on current gen hardware"

The base models probably don't even receive testing anymore based on how old they are, I had the same crap that people are experiencing with Cyberpunk when I tried to play Civ 6 on my base xbox one, constant issues and even crashes when playing on bigger maps with more opponents.

Honestly its pretty unacceptable that Sony and Microsoft still sell games on that hardware that said hardware cant handle or that they don't put up a warning on store pages that older model consoles might not be able to run new games…I mean its not like people are used to this on consoles, anything released on the PS3 or Xbox 360 could be played no matter how late in the consoles life cycle it was released, that was one of the perks of owning a console, popping in the game and knowing that you could just play it unless there were server issues or bugs/glitches from the developer side of things…so this is a new thing for consoles.
