I have always loved video games and even the design of a lot of the consoles. One of the most iconic (in my opinion) is the playstation 1. So today I’m building a giant Playstation 1 our of wood as a shell to cover my Playstation 5. Maybe not the most practical use of my time, but definitely a lot of fun!

It looks nice but what about temperature control of the device? You simply ruined natural convection of the device by covering it. 🙂
From an engineer’s point of you, in would really have liked to see temperature data from the PS5 inside the box. I am not familiar with PS5 thermal management design, but I am have a hard time seeing how to achieve a good airflow with a boxed closed on 5 sides out of 6 without any special vortex creation device. I have a feeling this setup will considerably shorten the life of this console.
