No way I'd ever buy that beast (not in a good way) PS5 until at least a slim version. There's also a rumor devs are having a hard time keeping the upgraded storage cool. If that's true it's going to get loud again.
I have both consoles. I think the Xbox has a slight edge with game pass & quick resume but as a diehard PlayStation fan I have a 100+ game collection from the PS4…all digital games…so I just basically replaced my PS4 with the PS5 since everything runs better on it. Xbox is winning right now but I’m not selling my PS5. It took way too long to get. I’m gonna hang onto it & see what those new exclusives are looking like.
I've had Series X since launch. Tried getting a PS5 with no luck. So I picked up a Series S instead because I had the money for it and it was available at the time at multiple places.

Xbox Series X/S can emulate Nintendo, Super Nintendo, N64, Gamecube, Sega Genesis, Sega Saturn, Dreamcast, PS1-PS2 and more through Dev Mode and Retroarch
I have the Xbox One X. Besides higher framerates (which I think I need a better TV to take advantage of) and faster load times, is there anything else I'd be gaining by switching to the series x?
You forgot to talk about the better expandable storage space options on XSX. SSD cards. Sony behind on that.

The storage issues on PS5 are just too damn many. Less storage to start. No external support at launch. You can only attach one external vs 3 on XSX. You have to turn PS5 off and take it a part every time you want to swap drives.
You can’t play a game on PS5 while you’re moving files from an external back to the internal to install and play (XSX let’s you play while this happens in the background). As far as I know you can’t even play PS4 games off the external drive the way you can with XB1 games either. Add the lack of smart delivery and it’s a wrap.
I don’t know if they were rushing or what but I cant think of any reason to buy 3rd party games on PS5. I’ll buy one for exclusives but otherwise PS5 will be the side chick.
