Of course, bear in mind that just because Brian yays or nays something doesn't mean it will or won't come to Apex Legends in the future. He is speaking mostly from his personal opinion and perspective on working on the game. I don't think I should have to say this but please respect the Respawn developers and don't harass them just because something you want isn't in the game.

  2. I don’t get why you’d want to “fix” running animations. There’s nothing to fix it’s just a visual effect.
Edit: also the game might even feel more monotonous if they changed that.

  3. Why discuss hair looms when literally none of us can get one. I've played daily for 9 months and still don't have one. Could we maybe reward 50 heirloom shards for battle pass completion or something? Would still take 3 seasons to get one… but it's something 😕

  4. Why don’t you talk to him about third and how to fix that in Apex because I think it’s a huge problem I can’t go single game without getting third partied and all depends if you can defend yourself but especially on maps with these useless massive mountains that are just there they force squads to be pushed into a small spot to exit the mountain range instead of having everything open I think it would get rid of third-party

  5. You shouldve asked why all new skins coming out wont just use the pay to win model. You can then keep the old ones but just use the pay to win model as a standard for new skins. Also would be nice to have legend levels. That way 500+ players have better ways to get packs and go past level 500. Now its just capped and nothing significant happens. You could figure out a system where character levels unlock new skins later on. Like reaching level 100 on bloodhound you unlock a legendary skin

  6. Lootboxes are lazy (Apex Packs, I do not like their implementation at all). It BR approaches things (hardly fair, get what you get). There is no step/staged progress that is concrete, you could use crafting materials on anything, and it's a lifeless grind, and you can't return to grinding for anything except for the currency, which you could alternatively pay for at a randomized gain.

I'd personally prefer most base character cosmetics to be unlocked through actions with them (legend skins, poses, frames, trackers, voice lines). Wherein equal amounts of all rarities would be in the pack pool, making crafting materials a less loathed/more common drop, getting an actual item more eventful, and packs less of a shitty reliance forced on the player in order to customize a character. The gauranteed rare being an item, with the other two crafting materials as a lowest bar seems fair in a system that allows you to actually earn and show off what you've earned. Cosmetics only show other players "I participated", or "I bought that". If a collection event had badge challenges aplenty, that a badge was an antecedant for unlocking something worth crafting materials (not coins), there'd be a motive to participate, rather than just having played the game at that time, and being handed the rewards with little to no effort like the thrillseekers event tracker did.

The way packs are now, is the wat BR is designed. Handing off to the player false tokens of accomplishment for not participating (getting a placement due to a fight you never fought, having loot not a loadout, ending up where the initial deployment choice leads you to a largelt unpredictable final fight, etc). It worsens the experience, especialy when the only way to circumnavigate this is to not play the game (or arenas), or buy a bundle (collection event, store exclusive skins).

The current system to me is predatory, one that psychologically drains players until they break down and soften up enough to make the choice of alleviating the condition of randomness, if it at all effects them. Since parts of the game are wholesale withheld primarily to flaunt and mock players for not having been there, it becomes a question of what direction the game is taking with the inclusion of arenas.
