Don't be forced to do what someone else wants, that you know is the wrong thing to do, on the basis of what other people might think of you afterwards.
A. Anyone who knows will know it's not your fault. Only weak people who spend their lives looking for other people to blame for their decisions would blame you.
B. You aren't responsible for everyone around you. Their life. Their death. Their success or failure. It's a team sport for sure but that doesn't mean you should be an enabler of toxic or disruptive behaviour because you're a team player and constantly holding the hand of those who take advantage of the 'teamsport' situation for personal reward or glory.
C. Teaches the fool a lesson: ignore the warning at your own peril. Next time warn them then just nope out. Don't stick around. You'll save more lives in the long run if you do. Nothing teaches lessons – such as humility and wisdom – like having your HP chunked to zero occasionally.
