Infinite Scaling: A Useless Mechanic? | League of Legends

About 10% of League of Legends’ roster features champions who have a mechanic or ability that grows stronger or more efficient over time, external from natural scaling sources like levels, items and such. Today we’re gonna talk about Infinite Scaling: Is it a really scary thing? Or a useless mechanic?

  1. Hmm how to rework an infinite scaler….

    Well for Veigar
Tier 1 (100 Stacks): His Q transforms into a damaging line ability.
Tier 2 (500 Stacks): His E also creates a smaller cage inside the cage, making the safe zone radius from 250 to 125.
Tier 3 (1000 Stacks): His W's damage radius gets 160 units larger ( is now as big as the 400 unit radius for his cage)

Pretty sure this is is less fair, but at the same time its just for a silly thought experiment.

  2. i have a friend that played league since season 3, and recently he said to me that the only reason he played the game for infinite scaling, he even made the perfect infinite scaling team: Nasus, Kindred, Veigar, Senna, Thresh. All have some form of passive to reach infinite scaling, no matter how much long the game goes u will always get stronger then your oponent, to me infinite scaling will always be the cooler tactic in league of legends

  3. The thing about cho is that if ur not behind and you land a Rupture on a vayne, they’re kinda dead. U just feral scream and then Vorpal spikes her.

Also yes cho E (vorpal spikes) can do 3%ifininite damage

  4. Anything that gives stats for free without any stopping point can't possibly be useless unless the stats given were so small it was negligible and barely noticeable. The fact they can build anything and still do their job because of the free stats is immensely powerful.

  5. the stack mechanic makes ap veigar support viable 🙂 ive had games where i had 200 stacks @20minutes without farming a whole lot. just stack cdr and you become a cc monster that can oneshot squishis just like midlane veigar could.

  6. Yea veigar doing 2400 with a single W at 40minutes .. god forbid the hits 2-3 ppl with a cage and blasts them all , the W+Q damage will be enough to wipe half the enemy team and R can kill from 100%hp .

  7. Veigar and Nasus do have some bonus effects that help with their slow inf scale, Nasus W increased range (don't remember the Q stack ratio), and Veigar's W decreased cd for every 100 AP
    unless they changed them

  8. Another point for why Bard execution of infinite scaling is done so well, is that it is relevant in the early game, becomes relatively irrelevant during midgame, but in late you reach a point where you can reasonably 1v1 the enemy adc, thus giving him a tiny powerspike later into the game.

  9. Hard to think of Shyvana getting more than like 6 dragons but sure I’d like to get 27 dragons and have 140 extra armor and mr. (you get 5 free before first dragon)

  10. these youtubers are so bad, always making videos to get rid of features that make the game fun, he probably works for riot, riot new employee generation full of bad ideas. Yes lets give Nasus a Threashold and delete his infinite scaling and make him more like less played characters gangplank until the game sucks even more from the new changes. The sad part is your actually getting paid to say this terrible things.
