  1. When you were trying to run that titanium belt to the station was a good example of a good time to use logistics drones so you don’t have to crowd you factory with excess belts and allows you to compact your resource extraction and storage

  2. The short-range logistics stations let you form resource pools that can go anywhere. Rather than calculating how much iron you need for a given line, you can just drop mines on every iron deposit, feed that into logistic stations, and send that wherever you want to put your line. It also means that slight mining overcapacities don't go to waste.

  3. Obviously, do whatever makes you happy, we'll be here. But optimizing lines seems a bit misguided when you can rely on bots much more than Factorio (where it's already overrated as the way to have fun), storage is fairly high, and when you're stalling production to do the research just in time.

  4. For those that don't want to build towers of storage for buffers….The Logistics Stations hold 5000/10000 of each item….AND you can grab from them from the "M" view from anywhere on the planet.
