  1. I really wish this was a program with an easy character creator. That would be a dream.

I don’t stream so I would use it exclusively for post-editing. It would be like a PNG-tuber but with an automated and streamlined process. Maybe if you find an amazing group of talented programmers, you could create a business like that.

  2. Something to note about the sound filter setup at 5:00 is that it implies that you've set up your mic withing OBS' global sound parameter. If you're a barbarian like me, you will need to add your mic within the sources so you can put the filters on it. Makes sure you go into the advance sound properties and deactivate your mic's track, though, otherwise you might end up with your voice being doubled on your stream.

  3. Oh boy, this sent me down a rabbit hole of learning some stuff trying to get StreamFX to work, but ultimately I wasn't able to with OBS 29.0.2 even with the file swap that Scott mentions here. I even tried building my own OBS binaries with CMake, but got walled off by all the dependencies. Hoping the updated versions of StreamFX get public releases soon.

  4. I was just talking with a friend about this. I find vtubers so odd and uncanny. Something about the tracking being simultaneously too much and not enough. Mouth movements that follow tok closely but not close enough. Shit like them blinking either way too much or not enough. Etc etc etc. This is a nice middle ground imo
