In this video, I leave it up to you guys to determine if you will be moving your crafters there from Vivec City in Vvardenfell or Alinor in Summerset or Rawl’kha in Reaper’s March or wherever else you do your daily crafting writs on your characters!

  1. I timed runs on the pts today and leyawiin was definitely the fastest for me, assuming you have a portable banker and aren't including stable runs in your writ time. I'm excited to be able to look at something that is not Alinor for a while!

  2. If only they would put up writboards in DLC towns. Senchal, Markarth or even Lilmoth have some nice layouts although not perfect. But they have no writboards and drop off location. So they get abandoned once everyone is done with the respective zone. It would make for less crowded towns.

  3. i'll take Vivec over it though. While you're on your way from clothing to jewelry you're already super close to dropoff. And having traders/banks/merchants and a wayshrine so close is just pure convenience. I also run up the ramp with my mount and jump to the writ containers for a short cut, I can do writs on a char so fast, and I don't think i'll be able to do it as fast in leyawin. Still i might just go for it to get some variation in cause vivec city's getting a bit dull now

  4. I wonder what affects intricate items STYLE from the writs. I have a TON of ashlander style mats from deconing intricate items from writs as i do this in vivec. Howver I was unable to test if it is the open place or writ delivery place that affects style as only a fracture of items have the overland style (most is basic elf, orc, etc).

  5. I still like vivec for any toons that make the items each day. But for the ones that hold a few weeks worth of crafted daily items I prefer solitude, because the boards are closest to the drop off, and unlike alinor you can mount the whole time

  6. The stablemaster looks pretty far off, so this won't be the best location for new characters that still need to get their riding skills up. The banker being behind the door isn't great either, but might be outweighed by the very short distances overall – and if you have the banker assistant, you can just spawn him instead. For characters that already have their riding skills maxed and can spawn a banker, this will definitely be the new best location speed-wise.

  7. I'll have to time Leyawiin but I just timed my Vivec rotation and came in at 71 seconds by starting at the equipment board, doing the writs, turning them in, and then ending at the banker (I use lazy writ crafter, ring of wild hunt, and jump the cove area while mounted). I'd honestly be perfectly fine with sacrificing a little bit of time so I could enjoy an atmosphere that better fits my Imperial character but the load zone is a killer. Not only will that be a huge timing variable that will probably kill the area's chance to beat Vivec but it's also boring. Loading time is time where I'm staring at the little wheel in the bottom of the screen. I'd rather be optimizing my route like I do when I jump over the little cove in Vivec.

  8. The bank not being outside is huuuuge, but that’s just one thing why it can’t compete with Vivec! Vivec has EVERYTHING you need. I like to start my characters logging on next to the horse trainer by the wayshrine, then I move into the town and grab the equipment crafting writ, do those three while heading toward consumable crafting writ pick up, do those three from right to left heading toward the drop off… then I can easily sell/bank stuff/guild store whatever I might have. Then you have options depending on what you want to do, if you like to do pledges there are two boats that will literally drop you off right behind the undaunted tents in mournhold (one at the dock in town/the other boat up by the wayshrine)/ you have the battleground tents setup next to the crafting drop off point/if there’s an event going on you got the event merchant just north of wayshrine/if you are running random dungeons or raiding trials Vivec is perfect to leave instance to because again EVERYTHING is outside for your decon and banking needs, even if you need to respec your character that is outside too right next to another wayshrine in the already tightly condensed city. You just can’t compete with that efficiency.

  9. It's going to highly depend on if i like the house in Leyawiin. Rawl'kha is is my favorite spot so far. Sleek Creek house, crafting tables, stables, outlaw refuge, guild traders, wayshrine, literally everything but an Undaunted Enclave within a few steps of your front door.

  10. Rimmen the top if you do horse training. Alinor and Vivek the same, but I have 7 charracters in Rimmen, 9 in Alinor and 2 in Vivek. Alinor I don't like only because of singin man. Without sound It's the best slot in All Tamriel.

  11. When you pick up pre-crafted food and potions from the bank on multiple characters, there is no substitute for Vivec City. Alinor is rubbish and Leyawiin doesn't look much better. I suppose if you have the banker and you have the space to have him permanently slotted, that would be different. My quick slots are usually fully occupied with siege and other stuff. In addition you may want to sell off master writs and intricate jewelry from time to time. You can only do that at an actual bank.

  12. Well I'd say Vivec would still be the best if only it had it's daily boards somewhat closer to one another for those of us with 18 master crafters and have our hirelings on the cooldown, but since that isn't the case I suppose Leyawiin would be somewhere inbetween of Alinor and Vivec due to it's simpler route

  13. Vivec City is where I stay. That bank is the key it's right in the middle of everything. Western Skyrim was close, but you have to go into stupid buildings. Not to mention Vivec City has the BG guy right there too.
