Resident Evil Village combines many of the best things about past RE games! Do you think it's the best game in the franchise so far?
If you haven't played the game yet, check out our video on 10 Things To Know Before Playing Resident Evil Village! https://youtu.be/24CUt1fYBVc
So i haven’t played any in the series, should I start with 7 and then play village ?
It' a good game, but no, it's not the best game of the franchise
Yes, Good Sir, it is🤝
I haven't played it yet but when I do I hope it's good
I’d put in 3rd behind Re4 and Re2 Remake and ahead of Re7
No
RE4, 2 Remake & 1 Remake are all better
No
It's among the best to me, top 3 for sure. I've played 4 last year for the first time. Although it's a good game, it doesn't hold up too well now in 2021. 1, 2 remake, 8, 7, 4, Revelations 1-2, 5 and….the rest.
I just got done with the dollhouse, and now it's probably the most scariest section of Resident Evil I've ever played. The mutated baby was absolutely terrifying
First of all, why are y’all letting someone who only got into the franchise 3 months ago critique the game?
8 is a great game!!! Is it the best game in the series? I can’t go that far. Maybe 4th or 5th behind RE2 and it’s remake, RE4, and of course RE7.
No definitely not but that's not saying its bad, it's personal one of the best games I've played this year but it doesn't come close RE4
No, but it's up there IMO!
Great review. As a person who only recently got into a series myself, it really left great impression. Like a modern well-balanced mix of RE goodness.
If i have to criticize your review, I feel like you shown too much of the memorable moments. You should be careful of not ruining newcomers experience. But overall I think this is a nice review.
did people actually enjoy this lackluster shitter of a game?
I love these Resident Evil games!
Honestly resident evil 8 is the best game I've played in 2021 so far
Resident Evil 4 Is still the best game in the franchise. Nothing can beat it, even if there is remake of it.
Not even close. Sure, it's fun game but it's behind RE remake, RE2 remake, RE4 and RE7. In my opinion it tries doing too many things at once. It Wants to be action-packed like RE4, but also slow and scary horror. It has level design similiar to classic games, but it lacks complexity and challenge. It Wants to have its own mr X/nemesis enemies, but they have little screen time and are easy to deal with. And yeah, Greatest hits-like Approach is also Village's biggest strenght, but because of this it felt unbalanced and unfocused to me. But, yeah, I still had great time with it.
Don’t know if it’s the best but it has one of the best endings!
One thing we can all agree on, Lady Dimitrescu is one of The best Female Video Game Villains recently.
In my opinion yes. It might even be in my Top 10 Favorite Games Ever.
The thumbnail makes her look like Sigourney Weaver
🤎
Why can't you pick up the swords it sucks.
Re4 is still the best, even though this game is a reskinned 4 in a lot of ways. Original 2 and remake 1 is also better
I personally think this is the best resident evil game I played in a very long time since resident evil 4 and 7 in my opinion
Nope it’s not. An it seemed kinda short
Yes village is the sucessor of resident evil 4
And thats a fact
Best game? Idk, but it is certainly the best one when it comes to providing unique villains.
This is the first RE game where youre being chased by a 9ft mommy with jugs containing more than enough milk to quench our thirst whilst walking around with the entire goddamn bakery.
Anyone else have this issue where if you choose NG+ but on a harder difficulty – you get stuck with the starting case size? When I visit the duke’s shop – the larger case is sold out. So I’m stuck with the small case for the entire run. Also, is it normal not to have the starting pistol in hardcore? Cause I didn’t have it even though the old man handed it to Ethan in the cut-scene. I had to kill the first werewolf in the shed with the knife.
Lady Dimitrescu is the equivalent of Bryan Cranston in Godzilla 2014: a lot of marketing hype for the character only for her to show up in just a few minutes of total screentime, transformation into her final form included.
Game is still great though.
This is absolutely NOT the best game in the series. How could it be? This isn't even Resident Evil; it should've been a new IP. Great game just not very Resident Evil.
No nothing can beat Leon in RE4.
Since its inspired by RE 3.5 yes it is so far.
Hello no.
How can you talk about if the game went back into an actiony route, "going back to boulder punching" when, by your admission, you barely played any of the games?
What kind of "review" logic is this?!
Short Answer: No.
– too much Action Segments and less Horror Segments
– stupid Character (mainly Moroue)
What i liked was Lady Dimitrescu and their Daughters. Donna and Angie and Heisenberg, but not Heisenbergs Factory.
4:38 Wait, you could hide under the Bed?! Interesting! 😂
Never thought about that! I just saw those Lockers and went straight for them.
haha I smell re4 fc.
