Is Team Liquid "F**ked" in League of Legends?

After an underwhelming start to the Summer LCS and a disappointing Mid-Season Showdown, Team Liquid reveals some huge changes for their team, including Jatt resigning as coach. Jatt led Team Liquid to their best regular season record ever in his first Summer season with Team Liquid in 2020, and even took the team to worlds. However, effective immediately, Jatt has resigned as coach. The reason for Jatt’s resignation from Team Liquid remains a mystery, but it could be tied to the struggles the team is having with absent star Alphari.Alphari was benched by Jatt just weeks back, with no reason given for the change. However, even with Coach Jatt gone, it was announced that Alphari will remain benched until June 27th for “major health and family issues”, leaving Liquid without one of the games best top-laners. Alphari isn’t the only absent star on Liquid, as they also announced that Santorin will take time away from competing due to health issues. Santorin’s time away will be used to visit specialist and rest, but Team Liquid will be playing with an interim coach and minus two top players after these roster changes. These roster changes are a drastic departure for Team Liquid, who looked like NA’s best team just a few months ago, so join us as we break down what this means for the team going forward.

  1. Santorin is likely overwhelmed with stress from so many years of competing. I have gone through similar struggles and headaches were also a big problem for me, I had them all the time. When you want to win so badly, every single day, for years and years, the stress can take a toll on your mind and body.

  3. Moral of the story is. Never replace a coach who is constantly Challenger rank in solo queue and lead your team to 4 consecutive domestic LCS title wins and an MSI final with some PR guy with extremely limited knowledge of the most recent meta in League of Legends and went by the user name "Kittystomper".
