Fill it full of RIP .45 and chop up them legs, and suppressing a subsonic round and this gun should be very quiet
45 is naturally subsonic, which explains the bullet drop. But still, its a little extreme. But not by much.
It is a good gun no doubt. But there was a cheaper alternative/effective cartridges

The whole point of the ump was to be a cheaper alternative to the more expensive mp5 so I think that if the price was reduced then it would be worth it. I love running it though I have pretty much mained mine for the whole wipe

man i am in my 3rd wipe in this game, though you help me so much by gathering info on new guns, ammo etc and analyzing – comparing stuff. You save me so much time that i would spent outside of the game
Tarkov is so funny and fire fights depend so much on positioning and overall game knowledge. I picked up a UMP my first day this wipe off of a player. I brought it into a raid the next day, top loaded with AP and ended up dropping 4 pmc’s, which led to me picking up one of my enemies 9mm Vector’s and killing a 5th. It seems like a solid budget weapon which if used effectively can be pretty dangerous the recoil is controllable due to the low fire rate just a shame it doesn’t have a suppressor. I ended up selling it to clear up stash space but I could definitely see people who are into low budget runs getting a lot of mileage from it.
Those rounds drop like crazy because they fly out the gun like a wet rag. 278m/s is extremely slow muzzle velocity. Rounds have a lot of time to drop and you need to lead targets more. It'd be great for suppressors but weren't given one and supersonic/subsonic ammo mechanics aren't in the game yet. UMP would be a damn fine budget blaster if it wasn't way more expensive than it deserves to be, that horizontal recoil is horrible and you really cant do anything about it. Oh and as a final note, Kedr/Klin with PMM or PBM has more range than this thing.
I got it off a player I killed and think it’s a blast to use, but it’s objectively worse than the other smgs. The price and fire rate are notable, but in my opinion the 25 round mags are the biggest factor. 5 bullets doesn’t seem much different until you actually use it lol
The UMP is famous for being suppressed. Its almost weird that it isnt suppressed by default
seems like a nice budget CQB weapon, for 60-70k you have a gun and some ammo, i can already see the sub 150k builds incoming
idk what it is but there is some gate or expander on your mic that is driving me insane to listen to
Ump is cool a bit expensive but i really cant aim for head . the round travel is really weird . is anyone feel the same like me ?

It's a shame because it looks really cool, I love UMPs. But it's overpriced, there's no attachments, and you can't attach the picatinny riser to it, so half the sights are blocked by the irons..
I hope in the future you can attach the riser, I also hope they lower the price and add different muzzles or different barrels
9m ap 6.3 has more pen than the .45 fmj
You forgot to mention the fact that it costs a lot less in the flea market just 25k ive had fun using it as a cheap weapon, ez to get AP ammo, cheap ammo, easy to control, cheap magazines and cheap weapon.
I know, even with EoD, it'll take doing tasks for him, but I didn't realize Peacekeeper only wants you to be level 18 for LL 3..interesting.

Speaking on the drop of the bullet, games don’t do this justice. I haven’t found a game that doesn’t over exaggerate the drop of bullets. I’m not a gun expert, but I’ve shot a decent bit. Some long range shooters could probably speak more to this misconception that devs are putting in games.
So the UMP can be suppressed it uses a similar action as the MP5 i just don't think they have loaded the barrel thread attachments. Now 9mm VS .45ACP, the 9MM is a high velocity round with a lighter bullet meaning it has a flatter trajectory. .45 ACP is a slow heavy round and losses velocity very fast meaning a lot of drop. If Tarkov keeps this consistency 7.62x45mm (300 blackout) your going to find a similar result but when you do a video on that round ill leave a similar comment explaining what i found shooting at a 1600 meter range with that round

the UMP was never that good IRL anyways, it should be a bit cheaper to encourage its use, suppressor will come in the future im sure, gun is capable of it, dunno that theres alot else for mods for them anyways. the gun should never be as controllable as an mp5 regardless of mods, but a 50-55 recoil wouldnt make it too strong at all

@JesseKazam the ump was originally developed by hk as a cheaper alternative to the mp5. I personally think its a good firearm i like 45 but its a big slow round so its absolutely meant for clearing rooms. Just speaking from experience
Another issue with the SMGs is simply the lack of accuracy (at range). Some mp5sd's I ran last wipe had an accuracy of like 6 or 7 MOA
ammo too expensive for the caliber , skip for a bigger round in a less expensive gun.
