Ardenweald in World of Warcraft Shadowlands is the zone mostly linked it feels to Warcraft and World of Warcraft Azeroth. So why then does this WoW Shadowlands zone seemingly need the Azeroth World Trees in order to keep Zovaal locked inside the Shadowlands Maw?

Trees are '' Torches '' they are path.. portals to another realm.

Off topic Acco, but what do you think of a WoW/LoL crossover? I know it's almost impossible, so it's just theorycrafting. I think that the interactions between Azeroth and Runeterra would be sweet. Plus we could have promotional items in WoW and LoL. For LoL, we can have skins like Blackhand Trundle or raid sets for skins. And for WoW we can have transmog or mounts.
I still want to know what happened to all the whisps, cause the tree also was what first granted the elves immortality after being blessed. I think the lore behind whisps is that they're bound to the tree.
Also, a backdoor wouldn't just be a way in, but also out.
