It's Alive

A couple expecting a baby discover it’s a monster that kills when it’s scared. Terror, like all good things, begins at home. Set to a chilling Bernard Herrmann (“Psycho”) score, this eerie and shocking tale of an inhuman newborn who wreaks havoc upon the city of Los Angeles was a surprise boxoffice hit, following in the tradition of “The Exorcist.” Along with its two sequels, this cult favorite was written, directed and produced by Larry Cohen.

  1. I knew the mother had something to do with that baby creature, she was always smiling like nothing,s wrong, while it was terrorizing the father, first time seeing this movie, it's a good one.

  2. This film is more than just a monster movie. It's psychological and family and the exended terror. The loss of a child, the heartbreak of this, the fragmented job, the media ghouls, a broken mother.

  5. I remember seeing this ad outside a theater on an Army base in Germany. I was just a kid. The poster scared the crap out of me! I always remembered it, but could never recall the name. All I remembered was the carriage with the creepy two fingers. I used to talk about it through the years and my family thought I was nuts, saying there never was such a movie. Well, lo and behold…here it is! Gonna show them the movie this weekend!

  6. Watched this movie at some friend's house. I was about 11. Then had to walk home at 10pm. My friend told me that that baby is out there somewhere. I was supposed to call home before I started walking home, so my older brother could meet me halfway. He just walked about four houses away from our house. I walked till i got out of sight of my friends. Then I ran faster than Usain Bolt.
