The sequel to the amazing 1995 (we know it was also cheesy) has totally disappointed and nothing has changed as we watch it again years later. Robin Shou and Talisa Soto return at least as Liu Kang and Kitana but itโs not enough to save this techno rave of a fighting film!

Iโm ashamed to say that as a kid I actually liked this movie better than the original lol.
Man, what a giant pile of shit this movie is and how they just wasted so many characters, introducing them for a second and then we never see them again. Scorpion and Sub Zero were just freaking wasted!
This movie had a bigger budget than the first movie. I repeat, this Movie Had A Bigger Budget Than The LAST MOVIE. Matt McMuscles has a really good episode of Wha Happun that explains how this movie came to be.

Yea he was supposed to be Shinok, but this came out before MK4 so they didnโt know what he looked like. Also this was supposed to be a trilogy and the third would have brought back both the original Jonny and Rajin and would have quanchi as the villain.
