I was elated, when I first saw this, and realized that was Jesse. It's so him. I wish I'd encountered it in the game before I saw it while watching someone play, but I basically naturally did what Jesse was intentionally doing – went well away from the starting area almost immediately after being able to. Thank you, Jesse, for this delight.
Honestly when I first did this quest I thought nothing of the poor guy. And theeeeen he called back for quest completion. I just sat there listening and thinking “waaaaaaiiit a minute. Was that Jesse!?”
