He probably saw this off season and realized that this was the best chance he had to make it on a team with all the turn over. When he didn't get his chance he realized NA doesn't want homegrown talent in the mid. In the top teams only C9 really takes chances on young talent and they got Perkz. When the bottom teams didn't pick him up in a "budget" off season he probably got really discouraged.
Was watching his stream today, he literally said that he is still interested in playing in pro play, literally said something like "why would i retire from pro at 19" . There's definitely still hope
We lost another homegrown NA talent to the streaming/content creation path damn.
