  1. This is getting out of hand tbh, no more quickly loading in and doing a raid after work anymore. At this rate the game will just be a slog and anyone who has a life other than playing videogames will just move on to different games in the genre.

  2. I think people are too focused on the slowing down of progression aspect. The multi-area raid concept is actually quite cool. It reminds me of multiple-day heists on Payday. They could even change the infil and exfil locations based on different factors, like weekly rotation or what faction you're playing, trader relationships, etc. It could make for a lot of interesting outcomes and unexpected encounters. Plus, it makes it a more serious "raid" and less like you're queuing into a 24/7 Call of Duty single-map playlist (for the guys who just grind a single map all day.)

  3. they need to nerf the loot massively. it is fucking stupid. one customs rat run and you make 1.5 mil.
    In contrast, shit does not need to be more grindey.
    and why is sp5, an underpowered and soft bullet, shredding class 4 and 5?! Can't even get through class 3 IRL. val and mp7 should not have nearly the ammo stats they do. their pen stats should be halved.

I'm not a fan of devs in general trying to balance their games to the most hardcore players, that's always a mistake, you have to find a middle ground, if the most hardcore player reach endgame after 1 week and you try to nerv that, then maybe them will need 3 weeks or a months, but average players which already needed 2 months to reach any decent point, need now even longer.
    I know this is a hardcore game, but a middle ground should be healthy here or you run into the problem of not generating more hardcore players because they all quit of frustration.

  5. I'm worried that I will be stuck gaming for two hours just to get safely to my hideout… I like it like it is now, where you can set aside 45 minutes for one map, and then you're done.

  6. It's similar to the grind to Rust, because you can get endgame loot in one day. Tarkov takes a little longer although I think the same thing persists. What I think the game devs get wrong are the STATISTICS. If an experienced player in Tarkov is able to get to end game in a week that tells you the MINIMUM amount of time to get to that end game loot is ONE WEEK. Although everyone is not as experienced as Pestily or Landmark. Not everyone plays the same amount of time as them either. Which is why you would significantly disadvantaging the people/majority on the other end of the spectrum, if the majority doesn't play like Landmark/Pestily. As of right now I think the the team at Tarkov is purely making decisions off of intuition and anecdotal observations of the 20%. They should be gathering data on the players of Tarkov and balancing that way.

  7. if they piss this masterpiece away by building it around content creators i’ll be incredibly disappointed, but it is what it is. judging the “grind” based on someone who plays 15+ hours a day every day is ignorant.

  8. They should make the new changes after wipe. Now they are just punishing players that are already behind. I did reset my profile because I upgraded my game edition and all of a sudden I was like wtf did I always need all this stuff to start upgrading my hideout ?

  9. I only play for about 2 hours a day, and I honestly like how these sound, it just sounds like how it should be to me. I’m only level 6 so far and I look forward to continuing

  10. Imo tarkov is hard, i like the slow down, it feels better bcs they wipe rareley, so people take more time, more feeling of progression, and more loot spread and with all the anti keta buildes more guns are viable.

  11. I love how you've now got to kill woods boss 25 times to unlock a really powerful gun. This isn't making it harder to get, its reserving it only for sweaty no life's and streamers. Theres no thought to these changes

Neat changes, the game felt for me way to "rushy" at certain points.. if they can slow it down on multiple areas, so it feels like the progress is equally slow all trough it will be greater, at this point the two big "slow downs" are jeager lvl2 for the water collector and lvl 10 for the flea market, after you surpass those two points the game progression in terms of hideout and simplifying your time in tarkov just gets a huge boost.

    but i really hope they will add a new game engine or work over the current one for Streets of tarkov, atm the perfomance will just go down the knee when you attempt to play this game with a PC that is not that powerful anymore.

  13. Map to map travel would ruin the game, I will 100% switch games if that happens, some of us have lives and cant play all of the time. this would slow down the streamers but make it horrible for the average player.

  14. People need to stop blaming Streamers for every single change in the game, these changes were planned before even Streamers could even stream the game. If you didn't properly research the future features of Escape From Tarkov and based it solely on how the gameplay loop is currently that is YOUR fault.

  15. The only people beeing in the endgame after one week are freaking streamers and people beeing able to play 24/7. And it wont even affect them

  17. this is going to spread the hacker infestation to any maps involved instead of more concentrated on labs. the main thing i'd like them to work on is the servers. i've had up to 4 seconds of desync at times, and this causes very non-realistic gameplay as pvp depends on exploitation of peeker's advantage. in realistic gameplay, holding an angle should put you at an advantage and it would encourage more tactical gameplay. they should probably fix this before adding anything else or hiring a team for another game. especially if they want newer players to not be flooding with false hack reports because on their screen "that guy peeked for a millisecond and aimbotted me" when in reality they peeked and saw them a solid 3 seconds before head-eyes on their side.

  18. They're gonna kill the game with all these attempts to "slow the grind". They're balancing for no life streamers instead of the average player which will bite them in the ass at the end. They also seem to be nerfing everything streamers winge about, we saw it with the Mosin first, and now it's happening to every other reasonably powerful mid tier gun. The UMP isn't even that good and they're increasing the recoil. Not to forget theres also issues that have existed since .9 and .10 that they still haven't fixed. Instead opting to add weapons that they nerf to the point they're on useable and map expansion that make the maps actively worst.

    I'm happy i stopped playing this game when i did because every update i've seen since .12.0 has been utter shit.

  19. High end loot needs to not be available from the first few weeks and labs, reserve and interchange should be inaccessible at the start of a wipe, the best time in tarkov is when everyone has low end gear and fights last longer
