Have u seen the upcoming changes for this reset? -8% AE -10% IL and Splitting Ice nerf.
Guess this will impact shadowlands meta aswell

I'm preparing an alt mage atm so my main can go to Night Fae as Arcane and the alt to Ven'thyr as Frost. I don't really do PvP so my main choices will be for m+ and raids. That's my plan for now as it was just to hard for me to choose one covenant and then never get to see the other as I usually only play one character for most of the expansion. I hope Blizzard will be able to fine tune everything so it's fun but I think they will have to fix the problems with content-patches like in BFA. The Covenant-System is just too restrictive. For the future I would love to see the whole "borrowed power" mechanic be rolled back into real tier-set-bonuses and the covenants be primarily for story, characters, transmogs, pets and mounts.
I'm an Arcane Mage and I was feeling forced to play frost just because is a little bit better how ever I'm still thinking on what covenant to choose if I'm going arcane and for sure probably would be night Fae (I'm a raider and a mythic plus player). Now I need to see what I want to focus if my most important damage is arcane missiles or Arcane blast or even maybe arcane barrage since Barrage have a great legendary. I probably stay on arcane but still don't know where to focus and specially with the Souldbinds that give me some things for arcane missiles and some for Arcane blast and some for arcane barrage.Lol I'm really having a messπ
I also dont know which Spec to main anymore, thanks to the nerfs..i raid 2 times a week, mostly heroic, a bit later than others mythic – but i do mythic+ mostly. Do i go arcane or frost? :C
The whole things is a mess really. With covenants being better or worse for each spec and crafting of legendaries limited your very pigeon-holed into one spec, regardless if you do multiple types of content. You just have to go all-in on one type of content and tailor your spec/covenant/legendary for that and just, unfortunately, to suck it up for the rest.
I am really hoping that fire gets some love so it can compete. Playing frost just doesn't feel right.
