  1. Hay quick question since I am going for Hu Tao, does Ganyu, Xinqiu and Diona sound good? Or Ganyu. Xinqiu and Xiangling I've heard that they are good and I'm running 4piece CR for reactions

  2. I actually farmed lavawalker first but after reading that blood blossom is considered elemental skill dmg, I thought it "might" trigger the 4 pc crimson witch (or not). Ended up farming both to +20 just in case.

  3. Lavawalker is additive with other %dmg boni similar to Crimson. Not multiplicative. I have tested it. Therefore I would not suggest using it in general due to its disadvantages (reactions, slimes, etc.).

  4. Unfortunately, it's not just slimes you won't have pyro on for lavawalker. you also won't have pyro on your target in these situations too:
    a) your first hit
    b) when fighting in rain
    c) when fighting in water
    d) when fighting against enemies that have a water samachurl backing them up
    e) against fatui once their element shield is up (except the pyro gunner, of course 😛 )
    f) in coop in general (good luck getting others to not override your pyro all the time :3 )

If your focus is purely things like abyss then luckily a lot of these don't apply, but for overworld and general play I'm willing to take a slight loss in damage for more consistency.

  5. Im going for a physical and pyro build. I got the Dragonspine spear lv 80, a lot of attack % artifacts, one pyro dmg%, and 2 crimson witch artifacts.

May not be the best but I'm happy with it.

  6. Xingqiu Vaporize will make Lava Walker utterly useless! 'Cause he can easily keep up with her pyro application and applies hydro constantly. So crimson will be the best in this case! 😀

  7. Correct me if I'm wrong here, but I'm pretty sure ALL dmg modifiers are additive with each other. That means that the pyro% and the lavawalker 4 piece bonus are additive not multiplicative. I know it works this way with 2 piece NO so I'd assume the same with LW.

Edit: I was indeed correct. All damage modifiers are additive here is my source https://www.reddit.com/r/Genshin_Impact/comments/ja6842/a_guide_on_calculating_damage_for_the_common/?utm_medium=android_app&utm_source=share

    Base atk * %atk buffs+ artifact flat * skill multiplier * (%element/physical + external dmg % sources) * CD multiplier

THEN we multiply by melt/vaporize multiplier

Crimson witch actually adds to your melt which is a step above therefore IS multiplicative. It would add about 7.5% to your total damage if you melt PLUS the 22.5% pyro bonus which would make the 2 together just shy of a 10% bonus (per melt).

It honestly will come down to your team composition. If you want to run reactions with cryo/vaporize then CW will be the better set. If you are running double pyro and say double geo then you will definitely want to go either lavawalker or bolide.

On paper CW is the sure winner as long as you can melt twice during her skill. It remains to be seen if she will have problems melting yet, however.

There also is an issue with running shields, unfortunately. At the moment people are considering this her "meta" because of healing. The problem here is she will heal herself above the 70% cusp quite often if she does not take damage. It would be a HUGE DPS dip if she she has to wait 3-4 seconds just to take damage so she gets the bonus.

Some are saying that Bennett does not synergize with her, but IMO he is the safest option until we learn to play her at very low health. He would be there for emergencies only so he doesn't overheal her. He is also an incredible pyro battery which she will likely need since she is so dependent on HP%, CR, CD, and EM this leaves very little room for ER. We also are not sure how she generates energy yet.

  8. point taken, but your forgetting that you can actually apply constant reaction, Vaporize to be specific with Xinqui. if its just gonna be solo Hutao yes Lavawalker will give you bigger damage but with atleast Xinqui the damage difference will be astronomically higher.

ps: this is not a bias opinion even my headpiece witch rolled 5x on crit rate 😂

  9. Didn’t expect this many views on my video which makes saying this a little harder 😅 but YES I WAS WRONG Thank you all for letting me know that yes the dmg multiplier from lavawalker is additive and not multiplicative so my littler math summary from lavawalker should be 12423 not 13529 which just emphasis my point in the video even more than crimson is better if you have a good rotation of elemental reactions going on that get triggered by Hu Tao while wearing the set. Thank you all for the correction and hey that’s why were are here right? To make each other better and more knowledgeable at the game 🙂
