Hugin is a bird I talk to. We talk about how to use an axe, where to find the angry deer god, how to build a house and make weapons. Is it a strange trip? NO! It’s Valheim! I have officially jumped on the bandwagon with everyone else, playing the game that upset the balance of the survival gaming world with over 2 million copies sold in its first month on Steam.
Join me for the saga of WulfTuth Boom, an unfortunate warrior plucked from the battlefields of Midgard by a Valkyrie, and dropped into the purgatory world of Valheim at the behest of the god Odin. I will learn how to survive, how to craft tools, how to make fire, how to place building blocks, and perhaps most importantly, make weapons!
In this episode I learn the basics of building a structure, and gathering wood, stone, flint and animal parts to begin my journey. I will also learn the finer points of hunting, fishing, combat, terraforming and stealth. There is alot of ground to cover, so get in here and buckle up!

Great as always, Mike. I love how the dwarflings just seem to have it on for you! To mine rocks, copper, tin, etc… you'll need a pickaxe, and you won't get that until you take down the first boss.

at 19 min (accusing the boars of stealing his shirt) and don't know if mike is purposely pretending he does not know his shirt is in his backpack and playing it up or just keeps not mousing over it to realise he's been carrying all along lol
Not sure if a setting, when you have the hammer out you appear to be missing overlay on the righthand side that tells you the controls for using it, which includes removing a placed piece

They do amazingly well in graphics for the pixels they use.
If you pick up your torch first, and the pickup a one-handed weapon, then you can have both equipped at once.
Valheim – where even the TREES CAN KILL YOU! :O
Hint: early game, tap your left-control key and go into sneak mode, and you can sometimes sneak up behind a deer without them running away.
Don't walk away from food on the fire! :O
You can make a lot of chests, and you'll want them. One other issue you might get is when it rains, if your smoke-hole is directly over your fire, the wain will put it out. Move the smoke-hole over, or reverse angle a roof piece overhead (make a flap) and the smoke will get out and the rain won't get in.

You can have 3 different food buffs at once. It increases health and stamina.
You can stack chest with the half floor placed above a chest. Place the other chest on top. Saves space. You will need alot of chest for storage. Keep everything you will use it later.
Beeing from the Home of the Nordic Gods, it kills me to hear you mispronounce the name of Odin messenger Hugin. It is pronounced with the u like a double o. You know, like Hooters. So more like Hoogin.
Watching you build this house helps me to understand the pregnant turkey.
Two deaths in the first twenty minutes, good to see that the dorkage translates well from a scifi to a fantasy series. They used to have tv commercials that kept going on about 'a mind is a terrible thing to waste' and 'this is your brain on drugs'… I dunno why, but for some reason I kept thinking of those old commercials while watching you build your floorless, foundationless, turkey coop of a hut. The campfire in the doorway was classic Miketanic. Curious to see what you build when you get stone blocks. A castle with a dirt floor would be interesting.
Watching your guy 'sneak' up on a deer just to punch it reminds me of Kronk from The Emperors New Groove.
I know I'm a week late on this one but hopefully you keep making vids for it, Valheim is my current addiction this month. The game seemed pretty cartoony at first but gets deeper the farther into it you go.
