Yes. The Ares really was THAT broken.
After the launch of Valorant’s Episode 4, the exciting release of Neon and the gun & map changes that came with them — all anyone could talk about, was this how broken this LMG was.
A week later, the Ares was — thankfully — nerfed. And for us that begs the question: Is it even possible to get any of these secondary and tertiary guns right?
Should Riot Games just leave us with the Vandal, Phantom and our Pistols and let us be on our merry way.

I don't think you're right. I get your point, but, just like you point out, there's a reason I don't play CS:GO.
I think in the name of “balance” they could just leave it alone. But part of playing a newer tactical shooter to me is the updates they make and how the meta changes the gameplay from act to act. The updates keep it fresh!
I think if the ares buff was left overtime it would've just become normal. When people play get used to playing a certain way their going to be extremely reluctant to change and almost always look at the change as negative.
I love how they change Guns and Meta. That and the unique character abilities is why i love Val way more then CS so its not to repetetive. So i Hope they keep buffing other Guns so its not just the same few Guns every game

I think the issue is just fire rate + rng. I hate that some guns can kill you faster than rifle with luck.
They should either just be worse like the bulldog, or unique like the bucky/marshal. (Also dont tell anyone but stinger still good for dumb kills lol)

They need to stop changing the guns I just started playing again right as the ares got buffed and it was not fun. (But you can buff the judge)
Ares was fun to use before its buff, as soon as everybody used in after the buff, twas boring. Its alright to buff non AR guns, makes the game more unpredictable like winning on half buy or eco rounds against full buys.
Why add a high mobility character of you can't run and gun in Valorant?

the pre buff ares was pretty good in long range but now the ares is just a short to mid range gun which the spectre has already been dominating since the start

Nah some of the guns need to change per example inacurracy on the vandal is sometimes ridiculous but if the guns arent being used they they shouldnt be in the gamr

In my opinion, a good way to get more use out of these guns is to change pricing and/or income mechanics so that you’re in the “half-buy” state an extra one or two more rounds after the pistol round.
Basically make it impossible to buy a Vandal on Round 2 even if you don’t buy anything on the pistol round and get an Ace.
It may or may not be a good idea but I think it would be interesting to see.
at this point, im pre sure all the broken gun changes from every FPS game like CSGO, Valorant and R6 are done on purpose to create attention like how some people purposely create drama to be relevant

Just remove every weapon aside from rifles, the 2 sniper and pistols…. Problem solved….
That rifles are the god tier in almost every situation is just stupid in my opinion.
