Today, Iluthin defies death and continues his search for answers! Or, at least, a version of him does. There are infinite versions of Faerun out there, and an infinite number of Iluthins to choose from. Let’s be honest, most of them are probably going to die, but one of them will eventually succeed!
Also, at least three of them end up hooking up with Shadowheart and one masters the pan flute and becomes a traveling bard, but that’s not really relevant to our current story.
I’m not associated with Baldur’s Gate III or Larian in any way. I’m just some rando who likes to play cool new cRPGs, and sometimes ends up making videos about them. Neat!

Oh man I'm running behind on watching these but… first!
2nd as ussualy.. : )
Could you have used mage hand on the chest?
The amulet of Jergal you got form the crypts let's you cast speak all the time. That green glow that was around the drow's body meant you could speak with his corpse. Since you already did it once, there will be a second icon that says Recast Speak with Dead
"You open the chest while we stand way over here". Um, would it be funny if "of course I can remove the tadpole- let me get my notes" happens…
Good episode! Thanks.
good job
You should make Asterion eat some of that garlic you found. Also, try crossing running water with him.
Oh wow, a shout out. Happy to know my random bits of D&D lore were of assistance. 🙂
44:50 I had to look it up after you said that. I had been under the impression Cyric stole the tablets of fate. I was so confused.
The lore is fine in episodes.
There is also another soul coin that can be found in the crypt where you find the amulet of jergal
Soul coins also serves as fuel for infernal war machines. In case you happen to return to Avernus and come across a motorcycle with a coin slot. No, I'm not making that up.
similar world but not the same… lol
if you would explode oil barrel next chest would that trigger trap?
if you can talk with every dead person… so much dialogues in this game. its nice that you cant ask everything in one go you have to decide what is more important to ask
with so many places to go and so much things to explore like small exploration i hope you can mark things on map
Great episode
The book itself told you of shar i believe… Her secret mission to steal that gith artifact… The secretiveness of her demeanor about it too…. Yeah i can already see it, shadowheart is a dark justicar. That loading screen of her wielding that spear sorrounded by shadowy figures sporting the same creepy mask pretty much indicate her secret allegiance.
What's your experience with the 5e rule set of dnd?
And how are ya liking it? What do you think of the adjusted rules of BG3 so far?
Edit: Nevermind! Robert asked this below and the answer of "should but can't in BG3" is there. Sorry should have just scrolled a bit!
I have a BG3 / 5e question: Rather than Iluthin opening the chest, could Mage Hand be used to open the "suspicious" (ahem) but now lock-picked chest? Would that have worked in BG3 EA?
From some TT streams I've watched, ths seems like ~common practice in some groups. Not my idea.
Mage Hand description even says something like: "You can use the hand to manipulate an object, open an unlocked door or container, stow or retrieve an item from an open container, or pour the contents out of a vial."
Thank answome episode
