  1. Treantmonk, is it too much to ask you to stream the game ? i have been watching your videos and your guides for a really long time and i would like to see you play this game <3 you can notify us in youtube or twitter when you are up for it ! if you are not busy of course <3

  2. I find that having empathy for NPCs makes the experience more immersive. Callous disregard might sound cool and fun, but it breaks immersion for me. I guess I'm just not as skilled at suspension of disbelief as you are and thus I am unable to imagine myself in any form deliberately increasing the suffering of the world I had to live in.

  3. Love the different angle from most LPs of this game. Pointing out differences from the tabletop game, highlighting that the open attack from the Mindflayer is super unusual. Loving the comparison between lore/tabletop and how the game works.

  4. Mage armour works as you would expect and lasts until the next long rest. The rejuvenating pods in the ship in the beginning count as a long rest when you activate them which disables the mage armour. This might have caused the community confusion/complaints.

  5. Re: Friends – I just saw another video explaining why this is a bad spell for this particular game..
Basically, you need to know WHO you will be dialoguing with BEFORE casting the spell(since you can't use that spell during conversation). So, in other words, you would need to MetaGame/SaveMonger in order to use this spell effectively, otherwise it may as well be useless. What are your thoughts?

  6. Man, you play combat so much better than other guys I've seen here on youtube. It's been sooo frustrating watching them sometimes… Thanks a lot. Really appreciate it! 😉 Looking forward to seeing more BG3 gameplay with you.

  7. I've been playing as well. Some of my observations:
    1. There are some things you can only interact with if your main character is in the lead, like that pod in the beginning with someone trapped. This is probably an oversight by the devs – it should put your MC into the lead position automatically when doing one of these interactions.
    2. Ranged characters are very powerful because terrain is often hazardous or wide open.
    3. Because it is a bonus action and NPCs aren't too clever yet, Stealth is also powerful, though you can split up party members when you stealth.
    4. If some of your party enters combat while others don't, you seem to be able to freely move the others however far they need to move to get them into combat. This only seems to work if part of the party is in stealth while the others go forward, as anyone not in stealth seems to be automatically identified.
    5. I haven't found a way to drop combat once you're in it.

  8. Thief rogue attacking from range can solo many of the combats, even the larger ones. Fast hands gives a second bonus action which means you can move, attack, cunning action dash, hide, and move out of sight whilst never even being targeted for an attack because the AI has no clue how to deal with you if they can't see you at the start of their turn. Just make sure you dash after you attack and before you hide because dashing breaks your hidden condition. Most classes can closely approximate this, just without the extra movement from the dash because every class can hide as a bonus action. This absolutely needs some adjustment going forward. Still a fun game though.

  9. mage armor lasts until long rest. many spells with long duration last that long. Armor feats are pretty much the same as in 5e including the +1 to ability score. How can he be so cruel to us? Us is cute

  10. I really want Baldur's Gate 3 to become the Skyrim for DnD 5e. The modules and supplements can be created thru modding. You can remove the inconsistencies of Adventurer's League using online play feature

  11. I will be interested to see u build a trickery cleric in bg3. Seems like youtubers are focusing on melee heavily. Trickster w a magic initiate looks very good. No toll of the dead, sad!
Please do an OP trickery cleric in bg3, please.

Also. Multiclassing in bg3. Eternal cockroach!!!!!

  12. Really enjoying this. I hope you do more. If so, would you please read the dialogue options you choose – I’m watching on a small phone, and can’t read the subtitles. Regardless, thanks!

  13. Nice vid. I hope they port this to consoles.

Btw chris, hope you can make more build vids again. Kinda miss those. Personally, i'd like to request for a build revolving around find steed or greater steed that focuses on steed casting (casting spells that affect the steed when you cast them on yourself) as the rules on find steed seems so confusing.

  14. Idk how far you got, but pact of the chain is the only option right now.

Also multiclassing isn't in the game yet so depending on how they do cantrip damage it may not work for things like sorlock.

I take it you never played the Divinity games.

    edit:
    >doesn't take Beast Speech

YEP. And yeah, Rogues are kind of terrible in this version of the game. You can feel it starting at level 1, where they don't get Expertise. Then at level 2, Hide and Disengage are already bonus actions for everyone, and they get nothing else.
