  1. Only part I didn't like was that it was never explained how long Miranda was impersonating Mia, how Chris realized Miranda was impersonating Mia, and if they're going to have Chris go Call of Duty, they should've given us a dodge button. Also why Ethan died at the very end felt half-heartedly explained (pun intended).

  2. Probably never will play this, used to love the original Resi games but the modern ones just don't have the same appeal, so thanks for the journey Aoife

  3. I'm not a fan of the "all of the Resi series happened because of a mother's grief" story. Though I suppose Spencer is at fault for being a bit awful as well, it still seems a bit cringe.

  4. If Jill, Claire, or Ada were consulted on this things would have gone down very differently.
    Truth.
Apparently Ada was meant to be in the game, but was cut for reasons??? Also, Ada in place of Chris would have made 1000% more sense. She would have made a bad ass secondary antagonist, instead Ethan just whines at Chris. Would also make more sense for her not to communicate with Etan because her plan would be to take Rose herself.

  5. Yeah, gotta say I agree with Aoife's review of the game. Part 1 and 2 were really awesome, but definitely lacking in fleshing out four houses and why should I care about them as baddies. We get the 4 books detailing the origins of the villains in the end. Why didn't we get that before? A missed opportunity to flesh out some really awesome villains.

    Some unfinished questions/thoughts:
    1) Why did Heisenberg's army exist? We're all used to the RE bioweapon concept, but that's explicitly not related to what Heisenberg says he's planning. Are they serious saying he constructed a whole, massive factory churning out hundreds and thousands of biomechanical zombies for the sole purpose of killing Miranda, and she doesn't notice this on the other side of her castle?
    2) I don't think this game is fat-shaming the Duke really — if anything, they're demonstrating obesity doesn't correlate with lack of vigor athletic ability. At the end there, we see the Duke at the front of his cart seemingly driving it, but when we arrive there is neither engine powering nor animal pulling it. The Duke seems to be moving his own giant cart all over the mountain himself.
    3) Why did Miranda kill all the villagers? If she already had them under her influence as the final notes say, where was the point in disposing of them all?
    4) Is the Villager in the Shadows book real, or did Miranda create it and bring it along to tease her secret hidden home to her soon-to-be daughter? Speaking of the story, why is Heisenberg a horse? And if he is the only creature not to give the girl a gift, is this implying Miranda knows he's not as loyal as he pretends to be?
    5) Donna. Put. Her. Parasite. In. The. Doll? And that animated it?
