Sorry but not all games ship with bugs sorry bro
Fraiser! Hellz Yeah!
It does run surprisingly well on 8 year old hardware.
Yikes! In light of recent discoveries coming to light about Cyberpunk and CDPR Execs / Management, the wrong takes in this podcast have not aged well; from being overly and undeservedly kind to just flat out wrong about CDPR and Cyberpunk.
That’s pretty good t then, did you use the E85 ?
I liked it too.
He's right, it is completely vile and Machiavellian the way they went ahead selling it to current gen consoles. There's no defending this. Forget the bugs and the horrible compatibility, the core gameplay elements like the absolutely brain-dead AI, the redundant wanted system, the 2007 level physics. As a previous die hard cdpr fan, I have lost complete faith in them and feel they've sold out and become the vile corpos they so villianize in their game.
These episodes are just incredible, it's a privilege to just be hearing these conversations and so professional to just let them grow organically rather than try and steer them in a certain direction. Honestly my favourite content I've seen this year, and genuinely makes me happy when I'm feeling down so thank you so much to everyone.
PS4 Pro, I started a nomad character, first quest to climb the communications tower, got out of the car to enter the gate and very obviously saw my character's shadow T-pose for a few seconds while I was moving. Would have loved to have seen that in 3rd person.
Cut the beating around the bush. Just say it! THE GAME SUCKS. ITS BROKEN AND MEDIOCRE. And that absolutely falls on CDPR. They not only spent 8 years developing that fucking garbage fire, but they also lied and manipulated people into buying it through wildly innacurate claims and footage. They're scrubs, basically
The forced naivety here gets to disgusting levels. CDPR knowingly lied to people. "But game development is HARD!" They had 8 years, and they knew what they were making. They set the date(s). And even talking about the game sans bugs, its all about the graphics. No mention of the mediocre gameplay, awful combat and driving, bad dialogue and that AI…
Listening to this podcast has slowly made me dislike troy baker. He's so full of himself and just has to be contrarian on seemingly every issue. Him questioning whether CDPR is responsible for the game running like shit on base consoles was one of the dumbest things I've ever heard him say.
51:06 Alannah talks about flight simulator crashing constantly and says she would give it a 7? That sounds more like a 1 to me if it's literally unplayable.
This was absolute rubbish. All the apologists saying this game is too 'advanced' for last gen, besides the visuals that no one expected to have parity with PC, how else is the game to advanced for last gen?
It's your basic open world formula and the actual gameplay systems and AI are actually well behind something like RDR2 and even GTA5 running on last gen. This game has the worst NPC AI I can remember seeing probably in the last 8 years. The Map is not huge, convergent gameplay is no where near the quality of GTA5 and bugs are prevalent on every system, even your 5 grand super PC's.
Oh and Troy Baker has to be the biggest narcissistic wanker I have ever seen in my life. He contributes nothing to conversations, stares at his phone when someone else is talking and tries way to hard to appear intelligent but ends up sounding like a condescending asshole. You do voices in video games buddy, your not a fucking philosopher, christ!
Lol fucken Troys title in this one 😂
"I'm afraid of speaking up my mind because I'll lose the freebies and opportunities from 'friends' in the industry" .
Reading these comments, I feel genuinely privileged to experience the game at its best, I have the PC specs to run the game on maxed settings, and while I have encountered bugs like some objects with the interaction icon not being interactive unless you stand in a weird spot, or not interactive at all, aside from that, the game is running flawlessly and looks beautiful.
Nice chair
I think the main reason that people are mad including my self is that as much as we love CDPR games we don’t t get to enjoy CP2077 because of the broken awful launch and the worst thing is they knew about all of these bug and how bad it performed on last gen and still said or did nothing about it
Hello Alanah!
What a great podcast you guys have. As a sound designer and a guy suffering from hyperacusia (a tendency to feel pain from certain loud high-mid frequencies and have them distort in your ears), I have one big technical complaint about these: You really should post process the recorded audio a little bit. Especially compressing the biggest volume differences would be super beneficial – I often listen these while in traffic so I usually have to pump up the volume a bit. Most of the time you guys come through a bit quiet (and the 4 of you are in very different mic distances and acoustics) but as soon as you start to for example laugh loudly, your mic usually distorts and punches my eardrums painfully. Compressing the audio would make these volume differences much more tolerable and make the quieter parts come through better.
For example in Audacity compressing the audio dynamics should be easily done. And free.
Content-wise: top-friggin-notch! <3
Look I wanna hear Alanah out but she's stated before "she can't review the game because she's bias towards it". Being involved with the game and receiving a lot free Cyberpunk stuff makes her playing devils advocate for the company a bit funny, gotta protect the your connections I guess. CD finessed the gaming community plain and simple, were intentionally deceptive about how it runs on last gen consoles. Need I go on….
I pick nomad where to find your character in the game.
