  1. With all three of you being fans of Resident Evil, how are you going to decide which two of you get to do the Let's Play? (well, I assume and hope there'll be a Let's Play as i'm too chicken to play these games myself! lol)

  2. I might be seeing things that aren't there but to me Alcina Dimitrescu comes across as a magnificent bastard type villain. I hope Capcom don't have her final form/fight have her fall into the rapid aging deranged almost feral all poise aside breakdown trope (physical deterioration paralleling her mental state) that such supernatural characters are prone too. As Ethan eliminates her daughters and the more Ethan interferes in her plans, making her look bad in front of Mother Miranda I imagine cracks will start to appear in her altogether visage and persona. Which without some originality on Capcom's part will more than likely lead to a cliche breakdown fight. And, if Ethan somehow at any point manages to take away her immortality(perhaps with Heisenberg's help?), it will definitely be a big red flag that a cliche breakdown fight will happen.

  3. There's some sort of pedestal with symbols from the 4 houses and in the center is the Umbrella symbol. It's giving me an origins vibe, as if that symbol were an ancient symbol that was later co-opted by the company

  4. Maybe I’m reading too much into it. But I’m thinking Rose (Ethan’s baby) must be special. Kinda like Sherry Birkin from RE2. Because think about it. Ethan AND Mia we’re both infected by Evelyn in RE7. And they both got the antidote. So maybe they’re going down that route with Rose as well? Of course, like I said. Maybe I’m just reading into it too much. Lolz

  5. No I think you will find that it is a statue with attached feathers made into eight wings (or they are wings from 4 black eagles). In some art depictions the Angel of Revelation they have six or eight wings which may be the significance of the statue in the Village.

I fear Lady D will be like Jeanette Voorman in Vampire the Masquerade Bloodlnes. – Fan favourite and on the box cover but only appears in 1 act. I am guessing there will be four main environments where each House hold dominion and Lady D and her daughters will only appear in the Castle environ.

  6. Horseshoes and horses are a common reference to witches. A horseshoe hung upside down from a nail is a ward against them, so the portrayal of a horseshoe making a 'U' on the emblem might suggest a coven.
Personal theory, but it fits the theme.

  7. What if Lady D becomes the begrudging ally of the game? Kind of the least of four evils who you fight at first but then helps defeat the other houses?

  8. Heisenberg was pulled over for speeding, Cop: Do you have any idea how fast you were going? Heisenberg: No, but I know exactly where I was! (Apologies to any non physics-nerds in the commentariat!)

  9. Most likely reason they're doing RE4 on Quest 2 is because the Quest is basically mobile hardware, so the three gens old assets are a lot easier to get to run performantly.

  10. 19:40 Just giz!
Lady DBD would be pretty interesting, but having to constantly duck under doorframes, trees, & so on might make people feel a bit motion sick..
BTW Aoife, it's much easier to skip through with the left & right cursor keys to adjust the position rather than clicking on the timeline. Each press moves things by 5 seconds. Also spacebar to quickly play/pause. This'll work as long as the video is focused, which you can do by clicking in the empty space below the timeline (anywhere between Live & the autoplay switch).

What if they're mining iron (which works for the horseshoe), using it to fortify the villagers, then draining them of blood to put in the wine, & transporting all the bodies underground to grind them up & feed them to their enslaved workforce (of werewolves)? The slaves break free, destroy the village, yada yada.

  11. From the looks of it, looks like they let all the surviving villagers and ethan that been captured go free so that they can hunt them down for fun, its like a game of chase they like to do..thats the vibe I'm getting from this

  12. I'm getting feelings of the Corvinus family from Underworld with these 4 families and Mother Miranda. Is Ethan Winters potentially a descendant from a fifth line and his daughter is somehow a key to a cure?

Well, to be completely honest, I'm personally convinced that Lady D's effect on the internet community was not expected by Capcom and there's gonna be a lot of people that will be disappointed when they see that she's not nearly as important as they hope (or realize that she ends up being the usual gross tentacle monster, like 90% of RE bosses).

I'm fully expecting a Far cry 3 Vaas' effect.
The difference being, Lady D's hype was kinda random when you think about it. Capcom didn't really show much of her and didn't make any promises about how prominent of a character she will be while Vass, on the other hand, was clearly the center villain for half of the game and a brilliant one at that…Only to be replaced by a rando that nobody remember nor care about because he didn't earned his place in the story.

Ubisoft really screwed up with Vass, Capcom with Lady D…Well, not so much. In fact it's the oposite, they kinda did too well from a design stand point (I didn't realize btw, but she's not just "tall", she's a bloody giant…Like someone's been eating her soup when she was a child, just like mommy said, that's for sure).

Now of course, it's also possible that I'm completely wrong and she's as important as her hype suggests, we will see I guess.

  14. Everyone keeps going on about Mia being dead, she survived an axe to the neck in RE7. I know she was cured, but what if she still retains the regenerative abilities, make a lot more sense as to why their daughter would be so sort after.
