I feel like the brazier trick is a game changer in elevated rooms. You don't need to have your campfire directly on the ground or a huge hearth anymore. Dope.

Building on stumps is something I haven’t thought of before, very interesting
I went with a hearth on the third floor of my circular tower, that was a trick to get working.
You don't have to switch to the hammer to destroy building stuff. <3 its just easier to see. I remapped the destroy button to a side mouse button to make it quicker, but I just thought I'd mention it here.
For no-fuss lighting, I think I've had the most success with placing the stamina mushrooms on trophy stands. The fine wood cost is a bit painful, but the light quality is solid, especially if it's a location you don't visit often. Keeping up with resin/wood costs is its own headache. Sconces everywhere would be nice, but fine wood, bronze nails, and yellow mushrooms all go thru the portals unlike metal ingots.

Core log beams has a interesting trick to allow campfires to be allowed to be placed, if you make a floor of beams from those logs it might be possible to place other ground type objects on them.
Certain building objects seems to have this trait to let you place things that requires a ground.
And now i have a fire on wood A surface….hmmm.. everybody except VALHEIM vikings…NOOOOO…
Personally have no idea why you'd want to hide torches…
The brazier cooking station was nice though.

Is there a way to put a bonfire in a treehouse? I'm tempted to build a swamp treehouse, but it's always raining in the swamp
Put a hearth on a hearth. Light the lower one the smoke is vented/pushed out down below.
You can cook above – Can NOT set yourself on fire – You don´t get any smoke in your hut – Have light .
Do what you want with this information. I built a sauna.
