Edit: I hate how people here think that Hu tao would use another person's corpse disrespectfully for some sketchy plot. She may be a prankster but when it comes to proper burial, she takes her job with utmost importance.

I’m prettyyy sure Huachu threw a fake body down the well to deceive her parents so she can run away with another guy to just some far away place, and if anybody along the way asked about it, they would pretend they were on an expedition working.
