If my experience with the Yakuza series has taught me anything, it would be to not take to heart any popular opinions because they can dissuade you from having a potentially great experience. I personally think all these games or on the same level in one way or another so seeing people throw everything before 0 under the bus really upsets me. I reccomend you to simply temper your experiences when approaching the older titles since, logically speaking, they're bound to be worse experiences than a follow-up. I never needed to temper my expectations but it might help you if you want to get the most out of the series. I want nothing more than for you to enjoy your time with the series, Remmy. :>
