  1. Skye: I do not know the math on H2 collectors but it is not what you said it was in this video. My gas giant says 0.88/s on the planet overview and it produces 500 H2/min per collector. I have 14 collectors producing over 6900 per minute hydrogen. There is some sort of multiplier on the collectors. Drop down several and you will be swimming in H2.
EDIT: changed from per second to per minute which is how it is reported on stats screen. Also, several were full so updated production numbers.

  2. I think people are playing on 2x 3x resource maps. Thats probably why their numbers are higher than yours. Either way, if you make 40 gas collectors you wont have any issues at all.

  3. @24:33 discussing the person saying it wasn't realistic due to warp and traveling at light speed. but as per Miguel Alcubierre theories based on Einstien's field equasions in general relativity it is indeed realistic (mind you the only reason why the Alcubierre drive is not currently being used in the real world is due to us not yet finding a source of exotic matter with negative mass). 😀

  4. Hey Skye I was just watching one of Biffa’s DSP videos and spotted that the Orbital Collectors have a ‘Gathering Speed’ of “9.6x”. Now I’ve not played the game but I’d assume that means that if a gas giant had a Collectable amount of 0.25/s then you’d actually be getting 0.25*9.6=2.4/s per collector

  5. One thing you can put in one of your tips vids: when looking for a specific system in the cluster map, position the camera so that Icarus is covering the star, then it'll be centered when exiting the cluster map.

Edit: commenting 2 days after stream was posted on youtube, so maybe it's been mentioned already.

  6. I don't understand why hydrogen is so hard to get in DSP. I mean back in the elementary school in the 80's. I did a science fair project on electrolysis with a nine volt battery. It would be power intensive to make a lot of hydrogen gas then cool down to a liquid but well within the tech range of someone able to fly between stars and "warp". Just run a lot of electricity through ocean water and you get Hydrogen, Oxygen, and waste salts and solids.
