Tier list format and methodology:
We create two tier lists, one is intended for the majority of ranked players and the other is meant for the very top levels of play (high ELO). There are many tier lists out there with different thoughts about what is strong, but our tier lists are specifically focused on helping you climb in your rank NOW.
The lines between our two tier lists are not black and white. If you’re wondering about which one you should use, we recommend following the general player base list until it no longer works (usually around high Diamond) and switching to High-ELO becomes more effective. If you’re playing your off-role the general list is also your best bet.
Our difficulty ratings are based on “Skill Floor”, meaning that a Simple champion will yield results faster (around 5-10 games of learning).
Champions with a higher skill floor (Hard or Severe) will take more time to learn them (20-50 games +) but you will be rewarded with better results over time whereas a Simple champion may fall off as you climb higher since Simple champs often have flaws in their kit that make them exploitable at top levels of play.

  1. dunno how yone is not at least a tier in this list for toplane. he scales super hard into the game and has pretty strong trade potential early game at lvl 1 especially, getting even better as game goes on with his clone, where he forces ppl to distance themselves from the wave becuase he can outrade ppl for free. that way he also has less risk of getting caught by junglers as eazily as others when starting a fight because he can simply use his shadow quite far from behind. i had a few matchups in toplane against that champ and even as a garen main i really had to struggle against him, especially after he gets ahead with just a little bit. biggest issue in low elo is, that many times when you call for a jungler, becuase the situation is gonna be perfect for an eazy gank, they seem to most of the time either completely ignore that call or simply try to gank way to late, when the stacked minion wave has already crashed under the own tower, which then leads to the toplaner needing to negelct farm and exp for a very unsure gank. i understand that junglers have to farm as well and that they have their rotations but if the enemy is pretty much mindlessly pushing and always ovcerextended, thats the case with champions like yone and yasuo, it should be pretty frkin eazy for them to come and gank, because the enemies are vulnerable most of the time they are sitting up in toplane. But most junglers just dont see this, thats why many games in toplane become very annoying and boring to be played. you have to literally sit under tower because u can never overxtend at all, if the enemy is smart enough hes gonna freeze if possible and if not and ur jungler doesnt move up to toplane enemies will simply force you to miss farm because they can harass u under tower with the q range and the w range. the most annoying part of ppl playing yone in toplane is, that yone can simply use his shadow when he pushes the enemy this hard under turret, attack u with his q range, making you miss or if u dont miss farm u will get poked to death, and if he hits u and he gets toweraggroed, then he simply dashes back to his shadow. he can do the same thing if ur jungler comes for a gank from a bad angle as a sort of quicker escape. so i feel like especially in low elo, where top lane is left as an isolated isle, yone is a very strong champion. he has a little bit of a learning curve, but honestly, every champion has besides garen when you start from scratch. and im a agaren main. i hate to say this, but garen is op right now and he can still not outtrade a yone although i was actually goin a very aggro build most of the time in early. going for dmag and potions, picking ignite myself, going for some dmg and atkspeed in runes. doesnt help thou, cause up to lvl 4 you cannot rly trade, his dps is higher, and if you giove up lane pressure for whatever reason, ur fked, bcs this pushing cycle i mentioned starts. in early game harass capabilities with zero drawback are massive. You should definetly at least list this champion in a tier, riot should be able to see what an absolute joke of a champion they created with his insanely dumb kit. the only thing u really have to "learn" on yone, is his mechanical workflow, his abilities work mostly with passives, his shield as well, buying shieldbow on him makes him simply unkillable, just as yasuo.
