The latest being the response to the recent Sims 4 and Mac collaboration.
Mac had re used an old make up pallette from 2017 and marketed it as the new sims 4 make up product.
Mac have recently responded to the backlash from the Sims Community and it was awful.

They still could have changed the names of the shades. If they wanted to stay with the Solar Glow theme, they could have used names referring to Sixam.
Honestly I would be frustrated at maxis, but I know that the makeup company is the one with the main say with this stuff. I’m guessing the agreement was that maxis covered the sims stuff and mac handled the real stuff.
This is such an insult, why would I buy this when I could get someone to spit on my face for free?
i'm actually surprise that the make up palette was actually sold out, it's just crazy to me.
Their statement is terrible! Even if they wanted to make the palette usable for everyone, why did they go with a 2017 palette? They could've come up with new shades that are still neutral-ish and made a brand new palette… Or even dupe some shades they have in their giant range and re-use them changing the names! This Nylon interview just doesn't sit right with me, using the excuse for diversity to sell an old palette is not a good look. Plus, as you said, the shades aren't even right for all skintones… Smh
