I personally think the darkness of the screen actually adds to the horror. Its the reason i had an easier time getting through the eurogamer playthrough, because i could see more it was thus less scary.
So I’m not going to watch the video yet because I’m going to start my own play through later, but the title made me shoot water out my nose when I read it so bump lmao

Turn up the game volume so i can hear what sound design youre talking about every few minutes…
Hey Alanah, just some constructive feedback. I watched your part 1 and now I'm about 6 minutes into part 2 and when you've said "There's so much sound" and talk about the sound design, I keep thinking "What sound? I can barely hear any game volume."
It MIGHT just be me, but I do have headphones on. Could you possibly crank up the game sound for the next one? <3 Thanks! I love your content, keep up the great work!

Wow, you play this game so much darker than anyone else I've seen play. You think it looks dark on your monitor, trust me it's much darker on YouTube! That scene where you get the knife, the guy with the shotgun is pitch black! You can't even see him after his shot and he's talking with you. It's just pitch blackness!
You did better than I did during the first confrontation with the Lycans. I died so many times before figuring out I just needed to run in a blind panic.

Heisenberg seems more like a metal gear character than a resident evil character to me.

The reason for doing it in this game is obvious….but is there an artistic reason for so many games being so dark? Or is this some issue with the tech? I find myself turning up the brightness in most games. Or maybe it's my Irlen Syndrome lol. 🙂 Curious if anyone else notices this in most games.

Ugh, the American accents in rural Romania annoy me a bit. I am very much enjoying my playthrough of the game but it's the small dialogue quirks that bother me about the Resident Evil series. I can't stand that little Salazar dude in RE4.
