I would recommend checking your server to see what is the best fish for you to go for in terms of gold making because that will differ.

If you have a toon in the night fae covenant, and have unlocked the conservatory, you can fish there in peace. It initially has 3 schools of the fish found in ardenweald and there are no mobs to disturb you.

on my server the revendreth fish is the most expensive
Servers are WILDY varied I guess. On Kelthuzad NA the Revendreth fish are the most profitable. Selling for 120g where everything else is 50-90

You catch way more fishes with max skill. While with skill level 1 you get much more crap with max skill you get only fish
If you're Night Fae then you can literally just fish inside the covenant's base. From the flight master, run into the tree. As you run inside, you'll drop down a few feet and there's water right there that you can cast into and catch fish.
I'm betting the Revandreth fish is less profitable because of people camping the Dead Blanchy spawn… we're always bored and fishing there.
In Revendreth there is a fishable pool right next to the flight path Old Gate in the Court of Harvesters. Go to the back and no mobs spawn there. I was there for a half hour in peace.
