Marvel's Avengers Game Update: Is It Enough? (Black Panther, Upgrades, PS5 Save Woes)

Marvel’s Avengers had a massive update breakdown today with the release of next-gen upgrades and the reveal of Black Panther! The Avengers game added Hawkeye today, but all eyes are on what happens next as we await more challenging content to play like Omega-Level Threat missions. The Avengers PS5 save data was also a problem as moving Avengers save data from PS4 to PS5 turns out to be quite tricky. You need to patch the PS4 version, use the migration tab to upload your saves, launch the PS5 version and then sync it. You can’t even boot the save on the PS5 version before doing this. On Xbox all you need to do is turn your console on and you’re good to go.

  1. Xbox players from what I’ve seen are voting with their wallet, due to the exclusive character content is PS4/5. It’s their own doing, hopefully they will learn for future releases.

  2. The avengers game was a train wreck. Avengers animation sucks. Batman game has been the standard and an awesome game. People tell me Spider-Man game is good. I’m just a Spider-Man fan. Playing as a teenager swinging from a web ain’t my thing. The Marvel game was a cash grab. I’m not a fan of the Marvel movies either. They aren’t bad but their characters just don’t resonate with me. A rich arrogant playboy who has a drinking problem. Oh yeah Marvel forgot to add that. Black widow a gymnast who can shot a gun. Why do I care about her? It’s not like she even gets naked. Hawkeye LOL yeah sure. A dude in a bird costume. I’ll give it to Thor he’s a funny dude. But Marvel games and stories aren’t interesting for me.

  3. What would move the needle for people to come back is to add another campaign with more new characters, new play +, side campaigns for the individual characters, and make two new characters available every month.

  4. I recently bought a new laptop and got a free code of MA for Steam. Played a bit of the campaign but when I went into Matchmaking, it wouldn't match me up. Kind of unplayable like this.

  5. You're spot on. I have the game and have zero desire to play it anymore. After the story it got super boring. They tried to recreate Destiny without all the elements that make Destiny replayable.

  6. Honestly point blank NO THIS ISN’T ENOUGH! Still no word on any progress if any on the overhaul of the gear/loot system which they know is one of their biggest problems. Also for the biggest new dlc who are we still fighting? AIM AGAIN! Enough with AIM! They have a laundry list of villains to use for this game and devs just don’t take advantage of this. Also that new XP throttling scam of slowing people’s progression is just BS and them using a dirty tactic to artificially inflate their numbers. I don’t care about relaying the campaign nor any of the other missions because I earn no unique gear nor are there any fun villains to fight nor any new mission types and very very few locations. I don’t see this game actually being supported for years to come like they claim

  7. The simple fact is that this game should've been single player. Just basically the Spiderman or Arkham games just with Avengers. When they first announce this game did anyone actually want Avengers to be an online game ?

  8. I feel like the PAY version of this game is amazing. The controller and headset make it incredible fuck my save I dont mine starting over I feel like I been playing a beta all this months till new. Has anyone else played the pay version?

  9. I think Avengers has too many fundamental flaws with its loot systems to make a comeback. Something about having my character not change visually when I equip new gear in is just so unsatisfying. I don't think spiderman can even save this game.

  10. praying this game get more love.
loved it the first time playing it with the homies. But then it started to feel like destiny. Hopefully these new updates and characters boost the game

  11. Speaking on transferring data on PlayStation When I upgraded from PS4 to Pro, I had no idea you need PS Plus to transfer saved games, where Xbox cloud saves just work across every Xbox generation, console and platform. Luckily I hadn't sold my PS4 yet and could transfer via ethernet.

  12. Content is worthless if you can't play it. When rifts came out it required matchmaking, meaning you would wait a while to start the mission. At the same time there was no reason to force it as they easily could be played solo like every other mission. They hurt solo play to try to help co op and lost players from both camps in the process.

  13. I got this game for $30, feels about right. Super good value for that price and with more content to come I can’t complain. Hope the game lasts a few years and gets some great additions

  14. They completely screwed this game up by not having a complete vision.
Multiplayer feels completely tacked on and is probably the reason everything else is broken.
The combat feels amazing, but getting to it is super infuriating..
Crashes, load screens and the almighty host migration notification…
Looks like a Porsche, runs like a hoopty.
