    – The 3 versions have 2 display modes: 4K / 30FPS (1440p on S Series) and some improved settings or variable 4K at 60FPS (1080p on S Series).
    – 4K / 30FPS mode has slight improvement in reflections, textures, particles, draw distance and shadows.
    – In 4K / 30FPS mode they all experience some small drops in resolution, although they keep the target set most of the time, especially Series X.
    – In FPS mode, for the first few minutes of the game, the PS5 resolution varies between 3840×2160 and 2560x1440p, but as soon as we get to the Quinjet and start missions with more open and loaded spaces, the usual resolution becomes dynamic 1920x2160p, while on X Series it stays at dynamic 3840x1836p. In this case, there is a clear advantage in the Xbox version.
    – In FPS mode, Series X maintains a higher draw distance.
    – Slightly better loading times on PS5.
    – The framerate is quite stable in both modes, slightly better on PS5.

  3. In theory it should be better on Xbox Series X since the Xbox One X version is much better than the PS4 Pro and these improvement patches based on the old gen versions, are not direct ports and do not take advantage of everything the power of next gen consoles.

  4. The options menu on the XSX literally says Native 4k for graphics mode and Dynamic 4k for performance mode. Digital Foundry says the ps5 runs Checkerboarded 4K (upscaled 1080p…) and 1080p in its performance mode. Either way, the XSX is definitely pushing more pixels and it really shows in some of these up-close shots that show aliasing (stair-stepping along straight lines like rails). I just can't believe how amazing it looks and runs on the Series X. I played the new DLC in Mostly 60fps mode and did switch to graphics mode for some of the cutscenes, but it's pretty hard to tell when switching. The only time I noticed it was when I intentionally looked for it and the biggest difference I can see is in the shadow quality. Anyway, 2 cents… this is a fun game on ps4 pro, Xbox One X, the Xbox Series X/S (Nice job S:) and the ps5. I can't speak for the OLD consoles, but I guarantee they don't look or run like my Series X..Lol

  5. Series X has had a significant resolution advantage (40 to 50% on average) in almost every game since Jan. Im sorry, but I hope the Mark Cerny secret sauce famboys are watching closely.
