I tried to structure this song like one from the actual game and drew inspiration from Simon Viklund’s music. Initially this song was made for a mod, but I decided to release this as a standalone because it’s not gonna be used. So there’s no mod that goes along with this song.

Friday Night Funkin’ is an open-source donationware rhythm game first released in 2020 for a game jam. The game was developed by a team of four Newgrounds users, Cameron “ninjamuffin99” Taylor, David “PhantomArcade” Brown, Isaac “Kawai Sprite” Garcia, and evilsk8r.

It is a musical rhythm game where you compete in freestyle music battles. The father of your girlfriend is always a pain, because no matter what you do, you may never be good enough for his daughter. In Friday Night Funkin, you are the “Boyfriend”, and this cliché comes together in a colorful and musical mash. The fun of Friday and the stress of meeting your significant other’s father will make your knees shake and your heart tingle.
