Join me as I delve into the world of Medieval Dynasty and try to take myself from a mere peasant and create a wealthy family. We’ll farm, hunt … poorly, and craft and trade our way to success hopefully … let’s see what happens

Kotta, your onions are about to rot.
They already added the increased days and a bunch of other things in the update last week
I support moving the village. I'd start with a food storage, warehouse, woodshed, and then a house. Then you can send someone there to only collect logs until you have enough to build the rest.
grab 2 hammers an axe and 10 logs and enough straw and build a resource storage at the flat land. when its built you can build the buildings you need then go back and destroy the old ones
still a couple of uniegost story quests left. think its yr 10 and 12
your villagers might not have kids due to a bug from last patch. ive 14 couples in my town on year 8 and the only child is mine
iron axes are good iron hammers arent worth using
if your defo moving build all your houses from stone and wood then later build an excavation shed to mine stone and limestone
downside with building over there its the lack of maple trees
Options, but follow your Heart:
Stay, which is near Gostovia, has the advantage of not requiring a move and its pretty from the tavern;
Move to the Island area, which is sort of near Danica, a closer move and its flat;
Move to the Crossroads area, which is semi close to Rolnica, your original plan and its flat;
Move to the other side of the river, where the river opens up, which is semi near Borowo and is a short move;
Move to near Hornica, which is near … Hornica, and is closer to mining and a substantial number of different merchants.
I would weigh four categories: Flatness, Distance to Move, Closeness to a Village, and Size of That Village (you'll still need to recruit people and other villages might not have the closeness restrictions Gostovia does).
Thank you for continuing this series, I love it!
PS, Unigost's story doesn't progress until year 5.
If you want to make a proper town in the new location try making some proper housing. Stone my good sir! Perhaps some daub for the lesser folk but think resources and city planning – measure twice, build once – or you may find yourself starting over elsewhere.
It would be nice to see how the building degradation consumes an unused/cared for locale later If you could save one for that or does it just disappear?
Moving wasn't so bad to that spot, I put one Hunter lodge over the bridge to the north (of that beautiful flat area) in those woods and on the bridge that leads to the NorthWest that's where I put my Woodsman shack. I'll tell you the truth this one of the best things I've ever done in the game besides starting again. (starting new again gives you lots of features to tweak)
The additional resource storage share inventories same with food storage so if you move 1st resource 2nd wood shed 2 and house then both workers can work on logs as wood shed 2 has 2 worker slots
BTW Days per season are in the game you can go from 3 to 30 on a slider with numerous other options BUT you have to start a new game
If I read correctly, you can marry more than one person, and have more kids that way anyway… lol
it took me a few reloads of a fresh game to choose my current village location, the second bridge west from gostovia. Its working out well, flat and has room for fields. it's also close to the clay pits and mountains. I built a satellite work area with one small house, hunting camp 2, wood 2, and extraction shed, up on the mountain side above the clay pits.
I'd enjoy seeing you move the village knowing now what you know campaired to when the series started
