Isn't it better to build a house made of stone? Or can you rebuild your house later on in greater versions (reseting your sleep place)?

With my first house and actually every house I ever built was out of stone, l8tr I learned that stone is better for saving a bit of fuel for the houses, time between repairs and also a bit of happiness for people living in there. Hold E on the ghost image, to change wall/window, and what material, starting out you can have waddle or stone. I collected alot of stone in winter(easier for me to see the stones) and was dropping stacks of about 25 on the floor of my resource storage.
