That backpack is most certaiinly a thing that all sappers love to use – a breaching charge. A bag full of C4 to break the hole in the wall. That's just it IMHO.
The packpacks were filled with explosives in order to blow up the hole that the scavs were running through.
5:27 They've dumped their backpacks because they were carrying that C4 in them that blew up the wall. So, there's nothing left to pick up.)

The map in the terminal looks like a very simplified overhead map of Bay 5, which is a location in Tarkov that's playable in the game Contract Wars

Would be cool if you could play as black Division but maybe you can’t keep the gear if you survive so shitty players like me can play with cool guns every once in a while.

The map on the wall looks like CCP checkpoint on shorline. On the lower left you have that train bridge of the small river arm it seems. Which I think is supposed to become the terminal map.

Imagine growing up, going through all the things you've gone through in life, making close friendships with your fellow PMCs and probably doing dozens of successful missions in your lifetime, making you likely feel unique or invincible just to watch those fellow PMCs being mutilated by a piece of hardware, knowing it's all come to that, it's over and you're next.
The backpack was the cratering charge that made the whole in the wall. Satchel charging for entry of a large unit.

I'm pretty sure those backpacks were the backpacks that blew up the wall that had C4 in them they were all dropping the backpacks off in the same spot……….

Also, BD will not be a new faction. I’m calling it now. You will be invited to be apart of the black division as part of some end game content. Black Division will be a faction comprised of players with a lore only presence in terms of characters we might see.
They won’t be a roaming band of looters. They don’t need loot. They aren’t there for loot. At MOST. I could see BD being an NPC faction that guards a lab or other strategic position & will only be present there. But even then, I doubt it.
BD aren’t guards. They aren’t grunts. They aren’t looking for loot or money. They are there at the behest of Terragroup & thusly would only be seen doing operations for them.
The only reason we know they exist now is because the cameraman wasn’t killed lol. Everyone at that base was fucking wiped out – nobody saw them.
Lastly, we don’t even know what terragroups presence in tarkov is anymore. We don’t know if BD is even around anymore. These were all players and factions from waaaay before we ever set foot in tarkov.
Completely different environment/climate now I think.
