We need leakers
Mihoyo is rly dumb for trusting ppl who’re leaking future content again and again, and the community is toxic af for always spoiling everything, this isn’t the 1st time. I’m not surprised.
i think when they are milking 100s of millions of dollars from players for basically no content they can suck it when it comes to leaks.
If they only had a proper road map
if i were mihoyo, i will stop any future test for the beta testers so any possible leaks may be averted. The testers just broke the trust from mihoyo of non disclosure. I know the game is now boring for endgame with nothing to do but let us put it aside from the topic. Content development should not be leak as it may change prior to the release date. When you lease expect the changes, you get mad or something.
Leaks help to be honest. As f2p it will help me, to have planned about the Primogems.
Mihoyo will destroy leakers. But don't give a 💩💩💩 about hackers
Mihoyo is making more money on Genshin that they have ever expected to. And yet they're using every scummy tactic from the playbook to rape our wallets some more. Nobody can convince me this game needs to run on resin for Mihoyo to make a profit.
Screw them. I stand with the leakers. They're being actually helpful to players.
If Mihoyo had a roadmap, like every other game as a service, few months in advance, that wouldn't be an issue. If Mihoyo wasn't a greedy multibillion company that was too greedy to spend money on inhouse testers and QAs, that wouldn't be an issue. But Mihoyo wants to psychologically manipulate people into spending or overspending, so they don't post a roadmap, cause they want to control and carefully craft the message. At the same time they want to maximize profits so hard, that they are using random players free labor. So imo they are doing it to themselves.
They have no right to whine about it, especially that they are insidious ones. This is the reason their recent twitter plea irked me so much. They asked to maintain a fair gaming environment. That's rich coming from them, since they are the ones creating highly unfair and toxic environment – predatory gambling, throttling mechanics, FOMO sales tactics, etc (just the tip of the iceberg). So as long they won't play fair – I won't. It's a defense mechanism, for my sanity and finances.
Although I'm getting progressively bored of the game, so maybe I'll stop playing altogether, because it starts to resemble an abusive relationship more than a fun entertainment, which it should be, since it's a bloody game, not political assembly or something.
For now, if they don't post a roadmap, if they don't switch to direct sales of buying an item I want when I want, if they don't remove throttling intended for the game to be played on their terms not mine, if they don't stop the psychologically manipulative FOMO/hype/secrecy to the last minute sales tactics, then I won't stop looking up and being interested in leaks. This is the toxic cesspool of an environment they have created. They have no business complaining, and sure as hell they shouldn't invoke "fair gaming environment" when they are the reason it's highly unfair, because they designed it that way. Hypocrites.

Few more remarks after watching your vid:
– The only illegal part is when a beta tester that signed NDA leaks something. Youtubers that just repost stuff, but are not beta testers and haven't signed anything are in the clear. Mihoyo can't really do much about them, so they try to scare them into stoping which unfortunately seems to be working. That's also why Mihoyo puts this circus show with twitter pleas, because they can't do much else.
– The fact that Mihoyo would be willing to spend a lot of money to scare people into submission by threatening them lawsuits and making their life a nuisance (because again, they can't do much to non beta testers that haven't signed the NDA) just boggles my mind. They would be willing to spend all the money chasing after people, instead of hiring inhouse team of testers? What? That just seems malicious on their part.

Well, miHoYo is right stopping leakers. They just ruin the element of surprise.
I don't prefer leaks, the destroy the fun one has while playing games .Some transparency is needed ,and should be given by Mihoyo, but leakers just ruining the gameplay is also not appreciated.

im on the side with the leakers.. the state of the game atm being terrible. and them using this tactic when they are making so much money. players been begging for 2fa since launch and that goes ignored. im considering to just drop the game bc mihoyo can go shove it

Valkyrja didn’t come up with roadmaps. Roadmaps existed earlier in the game i think it was 1.1-1.3
Let me just remind people that leaks and other problems based on the production of content will end up hurting the employees of mihoyo and not the big "bad" bosses. Id value the livelyhood of these people more rather than saving a few bucks on a banner.
f2p will stay f2p no matter what, just dumping hype character after rerun wont do anything
To my opinion, leak is good. Especially helping us F2p. But this time has gone too far, we just STARTED 1.4 and then leak 1.5 just came out nowhere. We haven't got the event yet. I feel like the hype for 1.4 gone because the leak 1.5 , because we were to focus upcoming 1.5 and forget the 1.4 event, update.

Leaks are good. Leaks save money and free primogems. (story leaks are only bad thing)
And yeah dont waste money on childe. He sucks. I got him by accident (roll 40 ffs).
Also you can host your own site and post leaks and they cant remove it. You just link it under youtube channel. (and they cant use copyright either in that case)
Other way to avoid copyright is to make fanart.
Using youtube channels for leaking is also good, as you just make them on vpn and make a trash gogle account for leaks.
I'm pretty calm since I only wish/roll for male character's so since I don't roll for female character's, Saving pimogems is pretty easy for me

it won't stop the leakers though there will always be some leakers that will take the risk what I find funny is they lose their shit over leaks but can't even provide a 2FA lol as for my opinion I'm fine with leaks.
They do this to make people have FOMO
i honestly am glad that there’s leakers. like i’m ftp so I rely on the leakes in order to decide when to spend and when to save. I do understand, why they would want some control over this, but i’m honestly not feeling like many people in the community are inclined to help them with that. I just kinda see the leak situation like the exchange for the horrible account protection. If mihoyo were to go more out or their way to protect the community and make the future development about fun and not so much about profit, a lot of people, myself included, would feel more sympathetic towards them.
