  1. Damn, I would have loved to see the 1.19 all advancements series. Still would definitely watch the live stream(s) tho.

Also for the setup, as long as it’s not too terribly distracting from the game, I wouldn’t really mind if you decided to switch it up.

  2. I think the chat overlay could be fine for some of your content but for something like MCC it would ruin the experience
But like the sub reddit stuff I think it would fit well with
Even this video a overlay would be fine

  3. Honestly I'd really dislike chat on vid simply because I find it annoying even when it's just on the side mostly the chat is big and fast which is quite distracting over the actual gameplay. I like the vids now. The subcount thing under your cam is easily ignorable since it is smaller and never really in the way. That's just my opinion

  4. Alright Jordan, you asked for feedback, I've been watching since pre mianite, i remember the days of the NFEN minecraft maps, when it comes to videos on CS, i think no subs is a good choice, but 100% prefer seeing the subs on screen for this channel especially for things like Vault Hunters, shoutout to N3D, because it really shows the community interaction.

I think having a graphic that spawns on a timer thats completely transparent until the timer hits in the top middle section could be good, but your current setup/ui is clean as hell, minimalistic, and really easy on the eyes.

Chat however, i think would be a bit much. The only place that it could work is the bottom right, and even then itd look weird with the minecraft ui. Entirely up to you, ill watch regardless brother

  5. I would absolutely love the layout change. It's always fun to see the chat because you can't readout every brilliant or hilarious comment.
EDIT: It would definitely be for the best if it were a smaller chat window than you would see on like Smallant or other popular streamers.

  6. Personally I don’t like the chat on screen. It’s a purpose choice for me to never have chat open when I watch a livestream and I know I tend to not watch people when they put chat unavoidable. For me it is simply too distracting.

However it is your stream and content and at the end of the day you should do what you feel comfortable with!

  7. i would love to see a unique streaming interface, it'd be cool to see what chat says in the youtube vods and would add to the channel vibe as long as the actual game was the main focus of the interface thing

  8. I think that for the mainline channel, more story based and linear maps like Logicless and This Side Up fit it best, along with collaborations like Classics and Miscommunications. The chat can tend to spoil some story beats or puzzle solutions.

  9. Personally, I think being able to see chat would be fun. When I am able to tune in on twitch, others in the chat does say funny things that I think would be fun to see on the Youtube side. Especially if it’s like “oh hey someone live thought the same as me when x thing happened lol.” Honestly, the subs are more distracting for me cause I don’t really care about them. Like it’s great you get so much support!! But you also read them off and thank people live regardless, so I’m not totally sure what the point of having it under your face is ^^’ I think having a scrolling sponsor would be alright. Nothing to say really for or against. As long as the gameplay can still be seen and there’s a good balance, that’s what matters most. 🙂

  10. I almost always go watch the Twitch VODs over watching Youtube just because I can't see chat here, so I would like the overlay but if you don't do it, I'll just keep watching on Twitch. The only thing is that old VODs are only on Youtube, so the chat for those is forever gone. The idea with the sponsors is great though IMO.

  11. I vote no to chat on-screen. After the MCC win, I went and looked up various streamers' reactions, and those who had chat on screen were so distracting/obnoxious to me and I really disliked how much of the screen it obscured. So for me, it's a no.

  12. personally, i like youtube videos better just because i can pause them and come back to them at my leisure. main channel and second channel are basically synonymous to me since i am subbed to both and youtube doesn't like to notify me of anything. twitch is also worse at notifications.

  13. keep the sponser part small , it seems to be getting bad with youtubers and twitch streames cut off like 30-40% space to a 2 inch colored border and then this big chat box thats 4 in wide and then a 4×4 face cam and then just leaving a small window of the actual thing there streaming or showing

  14. Put chat on screen it makes it easier to stay involved at some of the more dull moments. My favorite streamer DarkViperAU does it and it’s wonderful. Half the fun of twitch is seeing the interactions between chat and streamer. Give it a try for a month and see how people like it

  15. As someone who never watches streams, the main reason I don't watch every video is there are too many people I like to watch. My watch later playlist has over 3500 videos in it.

  16. I say yes to new stream visuals setup! we shouldn’t be afraid of change and you’re giving lots of people free entertainment so you deserve to try what you want with your platform.

  17. i mainly watch vids on this channel more than the stream (time zones 🙁 ) and i feel like a chat overlay might be distracting tbh, especially just having tons of new messages constantly streaming in it'll distract from the gameplay. Also obscuring it kinda. I like it the way it is now, that's my five cents

  18. I really like the chat the way you described it, with chat on screen but in it's own place so it doesn't cover the game. Let's me see what people in chat are saying while at the same time being able to watch the video at a later date if I don't catch the stream.

  19. I'd love to see chat, especially for the random crafting/drop vids so that we can see people yelling at you. It would add a lot to the videos for people who missed the livestream

  20. I think the best thing you could do is a transparent background chat in the bottom left. The full screen helps to immerse in the experience, and it seems colder and more distant if you have 1/2 to 3/4 of the screen taken up by more official things, like sponsors and donations. I think you can do what you want, but the full-screen gameplay seems essential to me.

  21. it'd be nice to see chat, but annoying if too much of the screen is obstructed or taken up with sponsor stuff all the time. idk, Philza has a nice balance there I think- chat has a small-but-readable window off to the side, sub notifications and such don't take up too much of the screen either. Minimal overlays, but you can still choose to keep an eye on chat and thus get context for the interactions with chat that otherwise kinda come oyt of nowhere on youtube vods

  22. I feel its personal preference just try what you want.
You can always change it again, so you should try different things to see what you like you like.
    oh, you could make it a test steam. =}

  23. Personally I think I would find chat more distracting, but I know for people who don't watch the streams live it feels more engaging for them. I guess a lot of it would depend on how you display it, the speed of the chat, etc. There are concerns of people spamming or just parroting things that could make the display more irritating, but I find that your chat doesn't have nearly as big a problem with that as other streamers. A smaller chat display, placed wherever it's not blocking things depending on the video, seems like the best compromise to me.
