The ocean update will always be my no.1 favourite update of all time, back when that came out I really was completely disillusioned with Minecraft, but one day I started a brand new world and immediately fell in love with the game all over again, and I still play through world today several years later.
You didn't put 1.0 at best?? We wouldn't have Jean r34 without it, that was the most important update ever released

It’s just a lot of the updates you only explained a few things brought making it seem like they hardly brought anything to the update like 1.7 but really they added tons more stuff then just a savanna. Not hate you just kinda make it seem like they didn’t add much by only saying 1 or 2 things that were added
Minecraft still struggles with popularity in my opinion since people with no friends struggle to actually find friends to play with.
The HIVE and other lobbies you can join don't help either.
Also my favorite updates definitely has to go to Update Aquatic, Caves and Cliffs, parts 1 & 2, The Wild Update or Caves and cliffs Part 3 lol then lastly the Nether Update.
Next update should add improvements to the End dimension, Ability to create a skyblock world, and more food.
If only Minecraft have 1.20

I hope 1.20 is a desert update
for me, wild update is bad or meh because it causes my world to load chunks slower than 1.17-1.18, it randomly freezes every few seconds or minutes and it crashes after playing for too long causing my world to get corrupted(not as corrupted as unable to open world but like infinite world on flat world or no blocks on one chunk)

1.12 was personally my favorite update because I was building a replica of my house at that time but no beds in my house are red so when I found out they would be adding colored beds I was really excited and now it’s very nostalgic for me. Also I don’t think the popularity of the game matters when determining the quality of the updates but that’s just me
