It’s lit🥷
The only big flaw I had with the film was the main character Cole. He just wasn't complex or charismatic enough to lead the film. On top of that it's baffling that they used him considering there are nearly 100 characters to choose from in the games for a main character and yet they just chose to create one for this movie instead. Apart from that I think the film is really good. I like the fights and gore on display. The special effects are very well done and visually appealing. I like that the story is a precursor to the tournament as well because that gives the movie more time to establish the world and characters without rushing things. Lastly apart from a few weaker performances ( raiden and cole) I think the cast and characters were great. Not a perfect film but definitely one that is worth owning and it has me excited for future sequels. A solid 7/10 for me.
