Are you switching mains for Shadowlands? 😿
My picks will be Resto Druid as i enjoy mythic plus more than raids, disc priest than resto shaman
I picked up my holy paladin again and started healing low keys. It was a lot of fun actually and I'm really thinking to switch from dps to heal again, if our mythic raid allows it. Haven't tried disc yet even though I main a shadow priest.
I really like my holy pally but a range paladin with spamming holy light for raids is.. quite frankly.. no fun. (I did that in Classic with FoL already.. :D) Let's see how things will develop. Haven't looked much into the beta stuff for holy pallys yet but according to what you said it doesn't look very promising as of now.
Anyways, thank you for your coverage and the whole community perception you've been talking about. Really appreciate the input and your thoughts!

HPal is gonna fall off hard after they can no longer rely on prepatch cheese with Light's Decree and Glimmer azerite trait stack. They need a lot of work, the redesign just does not feel like a fully realized spec design ☹️
I play priest, 2 healers for the price of one. And a fun Dps spec to boot..

Resto Shaman feels so good right now so I have mine waiting. I am a little apprehensive about holy paladin but I always end up healing on holy priest!! maybe ill try my luck at disc some day :3

I mained Disc for mythic Cara and N'Zoth. Learnt to really play the spec in the process. It is so much more difficult to play than a majority of the other healers imo. I planned from the day that we killed M N'zoth that i would stick with Disc. This was before i found out how popular it would be even in keys. Now I feel like there is a huge community perception that Disc is OP and while it is played right yes it is strong i feel like it is sending the wrong message to new healers and from what I am see people are picking it up and not knowing the level of play required to make it strong. I think there will be some interesting times to come between now and launch.

On H. Paladin – I feel like the classes issues stem from concepts that were never fully-fleshed out after the Post-Legion power dump, and being a class that benefited, possibly more than any other? Certainly any other healer, from Azerite Armor – literally defined by it, and therefore it's basic nuts and bolts design were not looked at for an
entireexpansion.The class now has no clear direction in it's design, and lacks any real synergy in it's abilities that other healers currently have. It needs a complete rework from the ground-up, and it's needed that since Uldir. So for now, bon voyage my little holy friend.
I can't decide so im leveling a resto druid and shaman. Going to play both for the first little while and then decide

I have a resto shaman and Druid, and a paladin tank.. but blizzard messed up when they went full 3 style and cut out how important CC was..buffsandCC should be added back to an important group content..everything has become speed with almost no strategic planning making it where you don’t need classes with other important factors..
Druids should get their tree form back, and Lifebloom on more people maybe stack just 2 times with bigger bloom so people let it, or. no bloom at all.. because it’s basically in the game still with rejuvenation.. Druids have good oh shit buttons but you have to pay attention for them to be effective..
Ive mained hpally in raids and m+ for years but now that we have this holy light build i feel like you constantly have to sacrifice too much to choose between the two. If they removed holy light build i would still main it. But im not choosing one or the other. That or let us change it in raid infinite number of times. Its bad enough we have to choose a cov. Now we gotta choose what half of the fights you want to min max through range/ melee playstyle
My biggest issues with WOW is the loss of diversification in runs. You use to need to know the dungeons and have CC etc. why 3 DPS specs for so many classes.. mix them up please and make them important and able to CC buff, maybe Beastmaster can off tank. They use to. I had a friend that could freeze trap a mob, put his pet on another(I healed the pet like a group member) as he run another around and killed it, it was a bad pull. Let the melee shaman tank or a mage heal and shield people (ice) things should be mixed up and exciting not just harder and shrink the timer as you improve.. that’s not community which is what madeBC and WOTLK explode the population.. but this is what happens when activision owns you and the designers leave.
Never healed as druid, but decided to try it, either I'm "doing it wrong" or it is just meh to me, maybe HoT based healing isn't for me. Switching to DPS and back also feels off.
I think resto druid popularity in raids is almost directly tied to DK popularity in raids due to a certain ability 🤔
To fix paladin and make them good ranged healer they need to make light of dawn 40yard base line, rework de mastery to something else, make the current mastery into a talent for the melee playstyle and have Judgement give 1x Holy power.
People have always loved disc priest and resto shamans lol? I can't think of a time where they were bad in raid, and disc priests were the best healer in m+ for the first season with prenerf blood dk lol
It also sucks that Glimmer being a talent just doesn't have the spell power or cool down scaling that made it strong in BFA, especially with holy power being back.
Honestly holy paladin with the glimmer build was fine, I feel like they should make Light of Dawn or Holy Power spends in general extend the Glimmer buff/debuff or just ramp the healing and remove the 8 cap now that there's no corruptions or visions of perfection.
Also making the holy shock reduction 40% instead of 50% makes me feel like they didn't understand what the glimmer build became in issue to begin with
Also mistweaver was most fun in pandaria and warlords. After that they kinda ruined it

Bring back perma-tree form for Rdruid and I'll be on that boat quick!!! I can't make up my mind between Resto Druid and Resto Shaman, I want to be competitive in pvp and fair amounts of raiding too, I don't give a crap about mythics (i hate mythics, it ruined this game)

I went from a Hpal to priest after pre patch. I will say a good holy priest HPS wise in raid can out heal a Disc priest. But disc is DR and that’s always better then HPS. M+ Disc is miles ahead of holy. Holy priest seems easier to pick up and more straight forward for beginners. Just a suggestion to new players.

Ever since it was implemented in Cataclysm I have always felt that Holy Power was the worst addition ever made for Holy Paladin. It forces you to play such a boring playstyle where you have to fish for holy power because Word of Glory or Light of Dawn are free spells and your mana reg is too abysmal to not do it. It will definitely be one of those specs that get more fun a few patches in when we get better gear but it's so sad to see it back. We didn't deserve it.
You can make arguments for how the glimmer build was one dimensional as well but at least with that you could just pick other traits even if it ended up gimping you out of high end content.
