So I forgot to mention that Ganyu is a little bit squishy which is kinda similar to Klee (lower HP but slightly higher def), so running her with a shield charcter such as diona for the resonance buff would be great, but also considering the Zhongli and geo shield buffs could make him actually a more suitable option if you plan to run Ganyu as a main DPS. Also they did buff Ganyu's ult to only cost 60 instead of 80 and changed the cooldown of her skill to be 10 sec instead of 12 sec which does make her a much better character to play. I completely missed this in the video and I just wanted to apologize and not have to remake the entire video however the majority of what I say should somewhat stand hopefully lol. Hope you guys enjoy the video.
    EDIT: It also seems that the new ascension stat is crit dmg instead of cryo dmg bonus so it seems that amos will probably be better for her by a bigger margin. Man this video def turned out much worse than I thought. Hope you guys enjoy the video regardless! If you guys didn't enjoy it and disliked the video I totally understand and I promise to do better for the next one anyways cya guys!

  6. Very nice video, thanks! The team comp suggestion for Main dps Ganyu feels a bit iffy though, for two reasons:

    1. You suggest Jean but not Sucrose in this team? Even if you ignore the EM part of Sucrose entirely, she's still better at applying Venerer than Jean. Jean makes up for it with great healing but then again, your team already has Diona and Bennett heals.
    Synergy between Sucrose and Ganyu E could also be fun, the taunt stacks them all together for Sucroses abilites.

    2. Maybe I don't understand this one correct since I don't have Bennett (and I can't pull for him on this Banner since I have already reached soft pity with guaranteed banner pull for Ganyu… pain) but if you want to use Bennett for melt and presumably also use his damage boost, wouldn't that mean that both you and the enemies have to be in the circle? In other words, you need to stay really close to the enemy? To me it looks like Ganyu really wants to keep her distance because dodging attacks would interrupt her charge attacks so staying that close could easily lose a lot of dps.

    I actually struggle to come up with any reaction support who works while also staying on distance as Ganyu. Best I could think of would be Xiangling since her Burst has decent range.

I'm like 19 pulls away from my pity (wich is sad cuz I wanted c1 Bennat but I hate albedo) and I want Ayaka but I'm thinking I should just get ganyu so I can restart my pity so I have a better chance of getting some 4 stars I want in the future but I'm pretty bad at all of this resource management so can someone tell me if this a good idea?

Let be honest, based on what we know so far, Ganyu is most likely going to be a cryo Amber not because of low numbers or taunt ES, but because how she plays with aimed shot as the core of her mechanics. Aiming in combat isn't easy and game controls really don't do much to help. Ganyu isn't going to be for everyone (especially mobile players). But I'm going to roll her anyway (even though I'm playing on mobile).

  16. Another great video! This is awesome, can you explain how Diona’s EM will help Ganuy though, because it will require bennet Ult and Diona Ult, which also applies Cryo? Also how would a freeze comp with Childe work, any support you will put there?

  20. What's a good team comp with dps ganyu with Mona (c0), klee (c0), fischl (c1), Beidou (c0), traveler, barbara (max), and xiangling since they're my highest leveled characters at around 40-60?

  32. I've always had the idea of having a main and s second dps just incase i need to swap to one of them. So would Childe be a good one or mona? I have a few teams in mind but cant come to a conclusion

  38. thanks for this video! i love bow users in every game i play so im super excited for ganyu. i would like to mention that bow users don’t necessarily need a lot of crit since hitting charged attack on weak points is guaranteed to crit. yes not all enemies have weak points but the majority do. and not to mention if you run 4 piece ice artifact and 2 cryo characters for the resonance, you will basically always have 35% crit increase just by having cryo effect on the enemy.
    edit: plus you get 5% base crit so 40% crit rate for free. i would just go for extremely high crit dmg build something like 200%+ crit dmg.

  39. I kinda skeptical about ganyu dps build, since you need to apply pyro first to do melt, and currently no constant pyro applier. Yes xinyan E can apply pyro, but we need to get close to the enemy, which is kinda hard since ganyu is archer. But i hope mihoyo can prove me wrong
