A support roaming even at the early game is just how the game is now. No offence it just sounds like you have a problem adapting considering you've been playing league for so long in the early days.

AP shaco is actually pretty perfect that game, AP shaco is only really good against teams that have alot of engage/dive which their team has just that. Master yi, galio or cam jump in and he can instant fear with boxes and peel for his team
